The last part of this video was shot at a resting area on hwy 190, Death Valley.
I was there in april 2009 and saw 2 fighter jets coming below us in the canyon (on the left). The canyon ends a little bit further up and the two planes went straight up, only seconds from crashing into the mountain.
That was the most awesome thing I have ever experienced.

I did some work around the south end of Owens Lake near the Coso Range which is close to China Lake Naval Weapons Center in Inyo Co, CA. I got buzzed by fighter pilots all the time. They seem to thnk it's their right to do so way out in "the middle of nowehere." But that's California desert for you. Much of it is military land - and airspace. Any commercial/private air traffic have to route themselves around trhe boundaries of the military lands.
