@rocklover3300 No it isnt, the processor is 600 mhz, compared to 528 and has a 200 gpu. Where as the wildfire doesnt have one. It sounds dumb but i have both phones :L

can someone tell me, i have never used a android device before, but with wm 6.5 with multitasking you could close the apps in the top right hand corner, how do you do that on android?

for example, i open a facebook app, then click home, is facebook still running in the background and using ram and cpu?

I think that any delays on the HTC Legend will be fixed up with the new OS version being released soon. From what I saw, it uses a JIT compiler for the software it runs, which from my experience in the past, that does usually greatly improve performance. And google is claiming anywhere from 2x-5x faster. I'm not sure about 5x, but 2x is very likely.

im havin trouble deciding out of these 3 phones wich to get. here are good and bads of each so helpme!

HD2 is obviously the sexiest looking, but no AMOLED screen + 64K colours only + not too great cam + not android

Legend here has the amoled screen etc, yet lacks screen size compared to hd2 and has a much slower OS

Samsung Wave has a great cam, amoled screen and is most likely fastest but the major flaw is that it simply isnt a HTC phone with sense and those other amazin features...

so..?

@kNizzle66 HTC Legend doesn't have a slow OS. It always seems to be lighning fast when I've used it. If that's your only sticking point, just go to a shop and try one - it's not slow ;)

@iRobii Hey! I'm a Legend user and it took me 2 days to decide "Desire or Legend?" And it all boiled down to : battery life and hand "compatibility". And the legend won because I just love the aluminium base. But the biggest win was the significant size of the screen, which prolongs Legends battery life by a head. But in the end, everyone is different, so I advise to compare everything, and if it all comes down to comfort — just hold them in your head and imagine working with it.

looks horrible, once you go iphone you cant go back!! haha. I used to dislike iphones now i find myself buying it the new one this year even though i have another 12 months on my contract. That youtube sky sports news video at the start is so good and you stopped at the best bit!!!? ;-D The new HTCs are so big and chunky bluurgghh. Im sure the tech specs of the htcs and blackberrys are as good and sometimes better than iphones but its about the experience with the phone!! each to their own :-DD

I like the way the HTC Legend is bit smaller. i used to have an iPhone but I found it to be a bit chunky and big in my pocket. But the Legend is the perfect size not too big, not too small and has a sleek, smooth design! :)

Actually, what he does is wait til the loading bar disappears, while in everyday use it's more interesting when you can start reading... I really like how the 3GS loads a page (except for some flash banners), and i'm going to find out how the Legend does it this afternoon

These test are useless.. Unless you use a web page, in your own LAN network (to avoid network issues), designed for test purposes.

Every time that you load a webpage, due to flash banners content, it have to download more or less content and process it... Besides the network lag, router saturation, dns resolve time, etc...

Try it with your own web browser on your computer. Press F5 and you'll see that the page never loads at the same time.

You cannot determinate which is better with this.

@006vlad600 Apparently you know nothing about screens; increase brightness does not correct washed out colors and poor black levels. Just like when you go and buy a flat screen and watch your movies on it you can see the quality by how rich the colors are and the deepness of the blacks.

Desire is a monstar. I just had my one yesterday. It's blazingly fast. It has set a new standard for smartphones. Undoubtedly the best smartphone at the moment by miles.

This test (browser test) is a bit unfair for the Legend. Why? It supports (and renders, loads) flash. Just look on the banner on the top - flash!

Dissable the flash in settings and try again and se if it proves to be even faster then it allready is.

@ThEuNdYiNg1 well...TBH there's not much to talk about browser comparison, they all use different browser mecanisms, the HTC HD2 was using Opera Mobile 10, and it uses server side rendering witch should make the browsing speed faster, Opera Mobile 10 and the HTC Android browsers both load Flash...But still, its kinda what you said ^^ the Iphone was kinda crappy on this test, it sucked completely, it doesnt even render flash and still is slower...

I hate how pocketnow pretty much only does Windows Mobile phone review because Brandon Miniman is a really good tech reviewer but i just think that Windows Mobile Sucks! I mean if he kept reviewing Android phones and Windows Mobile and IPhone then they would be the best tech reviewer out there.
