A few years ago I used to like their first lyrics and first sound, now I preffer their sound and lyrics on A Revelation for Despair but I'm having trouble getting into the newer stuff still, sounds strange and slightly indie rock, kinda lame in my opinion.

they are great live, saw them in Warrnambool, I live up the road from the drummer's parents lol...

So it was almost a hometown performance in Warrnambool.. half an hour from home, but close enough.

Either way they put on a great show.

Now, its not AS popular as it was then.

The bands are influenced just as much and quite possibly more than the audience they play to. that is why they change.

Bands who were "heavy" two years ago only did it because it was popular at the time.

Now, two years later, Pop Rock is on the rise and record sales prove that people aren't listening to heavy music as much as they did back then.

People appear to assume that because a band changes their sound that they're "selling out" just to please majority of societies listeners.

I'm sure most of you grew an overtly long fringe and bought a pair of skinnie jeans over the past few years. :P thats my point
