You didn't get the gnome because you play single player not campaign.

i play campaign and make some achievement. Than i close the game. When i open back, i get an error. And i open back, the game be normal and i lost all my achievement. Somebody help me...... Sorry, bed english.

The worst part of the entire ordeal is, well...

1) the stream of endless zombies just before the safe-house

2) that when you carry Gnome to the helicopter, it's basically on a wing-and-a-prayer, hoping that a charger, jockey, hunter, smoker, or tank doesn't come up from behind you and completely F*ck up everything you've worked for up until this point.

It's new items your avatar can wear. If you get Halo Waypoint you get the Guilty Spark, you also get other things. In ODST you get some clothes, ODST armor, and a Recon Helmet(you have to get the Endure vidmaster). But basically go to the avatar editor and click on the menu that says "rewards" - hope i helped

funny (almost not so funny) story about me getting this gnome achievement this morning. I was jumping on the helicopter with the gnome and my teammates were all right behind me only a tank must have knocked the lil fellah out of my hand as I was getting on the helicopter... I got off just before everyone got on the 'copter and went to find the gnome on the ground level... almost got killed by a tank on the way back... got on the helicopter with 1 health left and waited 'til ellis got incapped

me and my friend on xbox 360 were trying to get this ach. I held the gnome the entire campaign. I did not drop him willingly once. The ending was funny, because I was in the helicopter holding him, and my teammates and friend were on the stage dying. I had 5 health left and I screamed "DIE SO WE SAVE THE GNOOOOOME!" and they all died when I had 3 hp left =D

we got the ach.
