why would you spend so much money on what i think you are referring to as a solid state hard drive which are 3x more expensive than normal hard drives, and no money on the rest of the computer hardware?
I dunno the whole convo... But 1 great reason to get SSD is because they have < 0.1 MS seek time instead of the typical 12.0 MS. I got an SSD and most apps (including OS) load about 40% - 60% faster. + no defragmenting. (Defrag is actually bad) Battery doesn't seem to be better, but who cares, everything loads much faster. And it's actually a lot more than 3x more... My 128GB model was ~ $400. (Most expensive 2.5" disk I could find @ newegg was $140 for 640 GB HDD)
