It may just be because I've danced to this song more than once, but I'm not much a fan of the fact that Clara and the Nutcracker are dancing with the snow, mostly because it takes alot of the attention away from the snow when the snowflakes can do much more in the dance without. But this is my favorite nutcracker of all the productions I've seen, I watched it on Ovation's battle of the nutcracker"'s :)

I'm wondering if a dancer could tell us if the snowflakes are a liability for this dance--you know slipping, getting one in the eye, etc.

@windstorm1000 Yes and no. If the snow comes down inappropriate amounts, its usually ok. However, I've been in a situation where the snow accidentally came out all at once in a hugeclump rather than gradually, and I was literally blinded for a few seconds. It was really hard to keep a straight face after that, because it was totally unexpected.

the dancers are so feminine. nice that the orchestra is taking this at a slower pace for a change--a leisurely snow fall as opposed to a frenetic one. really magical.

Snow is my favorite music and routine in Nutcracker by far, but boy does it murder my feet and my pointe shoes...

I love the formations/transitions in this version so much. They really look like snowflakes. :]
