Wonder how ppl could be so sure of how things works. The chipping sound is not from the turbo, and it is not from the wastegate valve.

The sound you hear is from the overpreassure valve on the plenary. You have that valve so you dont destroy the plenary on the intercooler.

Being from canada and a strong proponent for yamaha I was wondering just how you figured on 500hp . Stock apex 134hp and best turbos on professional sleds reach 290hp plus thats it , they can't even get 500hp out of a bike near the same (or better) configuration soooooooo..........

This sled was a project sled from Mc-Xpress and approximitly around 500hp on full effect, its a huge turbo on it that can delivers up to 400hp. You cant buy this setup even today, the sled wont hold in the long run with this turbo, in this clip we could just use half the throttle cause both the track and the drive belt would explode if we did. This is one of a kind sled, today you can find sleds with much more horsepower but at the point when we filmed this clip it was the worst one.

Veru nice machine! I had the oppertunity to ride a turbo Apex with much less power than this one, and it had more balls than my 1000 cat hands down, I just felt it little wierd to get used to the extra weight, didn't want to turn like my 2 stroke 1kcc cat, but the Apex outclimed my cat without a doubt. I like both sleds, but really was taken by the Apex tubrbo's raw power to climb. All in all it's a great sled, hell thier ALL fun, long as it's got a motor I dun really care lmao. Cheers, IC.
