Not sure, but I think it depends on which type of AIM they are using. It has to be AIM 6, any version of it, which is downloaded off the AIM website. If they're using the version that comes with the Macs, then no, I don't think so. No harm trying :)

They have to be using only AIM 6, any version of AIM 6, which is downloaded off the AIM website, otherwise it won't work.

Actually, you can. Just make the fake link, highlight it, right click it, and choose hyperlink.

They were probably using Meebo or AIM Express. You and your victim both have to be using the downloaded AIM.
