I saw them play in 93 at SonShine, and then went to the memorial concert at Cstone in 2000.

It's such a beautiful song. Did you know he wrote it about his own marriage? his x sings background on it, and in an interview, says that it was through this song that Gene communicated with her about their divorce. It makes me tear up every freaking time I listen to it.

I grew up there. There was a paddle wheel bout you could take on an excursion trip up river. It didn't so much sail upstream as kind of oozed between the banks. It went out of business when the smell go so bad you couldn't ride it anymore.
