why Kobe is so popular in China ? let me answer this question : Jordan was considered GOD in USA back in 90s and China was still up n coming nation at that time, people didn't watch bball that much. And now china is coming along , they got Yao Ming and BBall is their main sports and they want someone the best player (also comparable with MJ) and they found Kobe. They appreciate the best person... and that's why Kobe is huge in China. Everybody knows his name..even old people know.
