@ChelseaGhostWhite No it's not, it's made from animal fat. All the leftover bits from food animals go to a rendering plant and processed and some of the fats extracted are used for cosmetics, including lipstick. Other fats go into our food, like tallow.

I believe that some of the metallic finished lipsticks are made with fish scales. They is how it gets that silvery, metallic sheen.
