You're just looking for a validation of your religious lifestyle, but not realizing that marriage has been redefined over and over again. Marriage used to be a money transaction where one man would buy another man's daughter.
@philnoll Marriage in our culture has always been between a man and a woman. Marriage being a money transaction is a misleading mantra repeated by people like you. It is like you want us to believe that parents never loved their chidren. LOL
@newjerseyequality Absolutely not. I would never make a statement like that. I'm just pointing out that changes have been made before. Are you okay with interracial marriage? Are you okay with divorce?
@philnoll I am OK with interracial marriage between a man an a woman of course. I am not OK with irresponsible divorce and single parenting. The break down of families is the #1 problem in the US. "Gay marriage" create motherless and fatherless homes, violate the basic human right of children to a Mom and a Dad
@newjerseyequality So, would you rather kids be raised by nuns than two fathers? What is it about having a father and a mother that is so important? Or is it just the sexually deviant lifestyle you disapprove of? Would a couple of kinky swingers meet the criteria for a legitimate family as long as they're straight? Also, I gather from your comments you might have some hang-ups about women in the work place and stay-at-home dads. Is that an accurate assessment?
@philnoll Children are born from a father and a mother, not from 2 nuns or 2 fathers. Why ????. Chidren get their gender identity, their lineage history and continuity from their own biological parents. Of course healthy marriage are necessary, not kinky swingers. While mothers have a special gifts for nurturing and empathy, the decisions a couple makes on how to run their homes is theirs. The division of responsibilities is unique to each couple.
@newjerseyequality I just don't understand why you make a video about gay marriage, but not swingers. And who says swingers aren't healthy anyway? I don't understand why you'd rather leave a kid in an orphanage than give him a home with two dads. Its false to say men have no empathy. Besides, a child from a gay parentage is likely to have female influences as well. It just seems that your closing this question on a religious basis, and you've never actually met two gay parents.
@philnoll You do not listen to anything I say. All you do is try to ask me to choose between 2 scenarios of your choice. Of course they will have female influences outside the home hopefully. I know school counselors who have to deal with the extra struggles these children face. Here again the society becomes responsible to provide the mother figure and then gay parents sue or demand new laws because they accuse the society of not conforming to the shortcomings of their lifestyle
@newjerseyequality I'm listening to you. Personally, I'm a young straight male, and I'd like my kids to have a mother. On the other hand, I know some gay people that are very nurturing. So how do you conclude that its a shortcoming? Whether you have straight or gay parents, the state is still picking up a lot of the parental duties. Anyway, do you buy the claim that homosexuality is genetic?
@philnoll What parental duties is the state picking up because they have to when a child is raised in a healthy family ? I do not believe homosexuality is originally genetic but it can be inherited because the human fall as described in the bible was caused by a misuse of love. Homosexuality is only one aspect of the corruption of love. I made a video on this. It is titled:" Homosexuality is inherited". There is a lot more about this issue that affect the original purpose of creation.
@newjerseyequality Mothers work. Kids go to the YMCA after school. Its not like gay people are automatically unhealthy, and straight people are all healthy. I know so many goofed up straight families, its just seems like the gay thing barely matters. For every gay family, there's 100 straight families doing worse
@philnoll Yes dysfunctional familes exist since Adam's family. Gay marriage is just one more wrong step after the so called "no fault divorce laws", the increase in single a parenting, the fact that people killed their own children.
@newjerseyequality How do you draw your conclusions? Is it simply because God said so? Or, are there any studies done on this? Do you know for a fact that kids from a single-parent household are more likely to grow up to be criminals and drug-addicts? I don't that for a fact. And I don't know that gay parents have any detrimental effect on their adopted children either.
@philnoll Yes, I am away that many kids without a father fill up the jails of America. The breakdown of the family is the # 1 cause of powerty two. These are called the unintended consequences that we warned judges and politicians 40 years ago. We are saying the same things about "garriage" I do not think they are listening.t is the same people behind the promiscuous sex revolution. Society is paying $billions per month for this. And it is getting bigger and bigger.
@newjerseyequality What about the kids in jail that have fathers? I want some proof, something non-biblical that supports your case. Not just opinions, hearsay, or anecdotal evidence. I want to see some actual studies.
@philnoll I said that kids without father are in filling up jails not the opposite. You can goggle that easily. Be careful of studies. Many are paid by people with an agenda and say what the funder want. Thye also used the name of big universities.
@newjerseyequality Common sense isn't some rigorous standard of truth. Common sense is just a point of a view.. In your case it is the bible. For me, common sense would be to doubt the bible's validity. We will probably disagree on gay marriage forever, but i will agree on this point - Men and women are made from each other and for each other, biologically speaking.
What the hell is it to you if 2 gay people want to get married? Its none of your business what they do with their love lives. And as for all this thing about redefining marriage. Merriam-webster says you're wrong.

@newjerseyequality Whereas other studies are funded by Christians with an agenda. And I don't trust them either.

@philnoll Just like Tim Gill, Williams "Institute" and UCLA. So forget the studies and use common sense.
