I'm and upland hunter and I cannot believe Dodge approved the concept behind this add. This add contributes to the publics negetive view of hunters. None of the hunters I know would ever condone such a stupid act. We only harvest the birds we intend to hunt and eat. Killing animals for any other reason is unacceptable. I does not matter weather the bug, animal, fake noise or what it ever was. It's the idea and action that is completely unacceptable.

I agree that the message, since it requires individual interpretation, can set a bad example about animal cruelty. However, if we think philosophically for a moment, my interpretation is that the chirping critter is metaphor for problems that disturb our peace. (like terrorists) It speaks about removing problems entirely. This is my interpretation. Too bad the noisy animal had to be removed. I would have put in headphones and just listened to some relaxing music, but I'm a pacifist (mostly ;-)

As an animal enthusiast and environmentalist, I found this ad extremely offensive. Especially being run on television stations that kids can view. I'm going to be writing a strongly written letter to Chrysler Group over their poor choice of advertising their shitty product. I usually just found automobile commercials annoying until this one aired. This one I found very offensive!!!

This is the most ridiculous commercial I can recall. What "true" outdoorsman goes out of his way to kill a creature we come to appreciate when we can get out of the city to enjoy the sounds of nature. Maybe this dude would sleep better if the sounds of sirens, dogs barking, kids screaming and neighbors yelling were in the background.
I'm sure Dodge will sell a lot of trucks to those outdoorsman wannabe's.

Follow up commercial idea: a buck follows the guy home and kills the entire family for watching tv/playing video games, talking on the cell phone/to friends, or just running around the yard and playing because of the noise they are making.

I agree that the message, since it requires individual interpretation, can set a bad example about animal cruelty. However, if we think philosophically for a moment, my interpretation is that the chirping critter is metaphor for problems that disturb our peace. (like terrorists) It speaks about removing problems entirely. This is my interpretation. Too bad the noisy animal had to be removed. I would have put in headphones and just listened to some relaxing music, but I'm a pacifist (mostly ;-)

hunter or outdoors men should be highly offend by the message in this commercial. If you don't like it kill it just for the hell of it or don't like it. We worked so hard to get rid of this image. I agree this guy is a jerk, if he didn't natures sounds he sure as hell should be out camping/sleeping in the woods. He's intruding on their home.

As an animal enthusiast and environmentalist, I found this ad extremely offensive. Especially being run on television stations that kids can view. I'm going to be writing a strongly written letter to Chrysler Group over their poor choice of advertising their shitty product. I usually just found automobile commercials annoying until this one aired. This one I found very offensive!!!

I realize that this is "just a commercial" and this is not about left or right. I too was upset that a person would go to the great outdoors and shoot at (or worse kill) a creature just because it was disturbing his sleep. Hope he never goes to an area where there are noisy kids around.
Dodge and Ram just lost any respect I may have (or had) for them.

Commercial funny. Love the outdoors especially fishing in a lake surround by Trees and mountain and no cities for miles. Great way to forget about technology and worries from life for couple of days. I am not old I am still in school. Anyways I don't drive truck. Subaru Impreza outack sport owner... But I greatly respect I American truck especial dodge.

This is the most ridiculous commercial I can recall. What "true" outdoorsman goes out of his way to kill a creature we come to appreciate when we can get out of the city to enjoy the sounds of nature. Maybe this dude would sleep better if the sounds of sirens, dogs barking, kids screaming and neighbors yelling were in the background.
I'm sure Dodge will sell a lot of trucks to those outdoorsman wannabe's.

For the record, there is plenty of "Lefty America" that enjoys hunting (and has better form than this dude), drives a real truck (a Ram), and enjoys this commercial. Don't go hating on all of "Lefty America." Many of us from "Lefty America" enjoy this too. :)

You're going to have to kill something for that. Lay down? Your AC is using energy as well, which is coming from a coal-powered plant that pollutes nearby forests.
All I am saying is that it is quite ironic that humans complain about a fake commercial but then turn around and do even more detrimental things.

There are videos of fisherman who tape their dogs attacking the shark they just caught on a line after hours and hours of struggling. The dog goes nutz on the shark.
