@froggiemolly from Cancun to Atlanta. I met my connecting flight at Atlanta to get to New York's LaGuardia Airport to go back to my New Jersey home after my trip to Mexico.
yea, that what it feels like if you're not used to flying over the ocean. It seems scarier if you fly over larger bodies of water, like Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. What looks even scarier is flying over ocean at night. You look out the window and see that EVERYTHING is black...complete darkness.
@TheHurleykid09 Relax. Although it may seem scary, you will be fine. I have flown over the ocean (both Pacific AND Atlantic) or empty open spaces at night several times. Other than that, have a nice trip!
I don't get scared because I'm used to flying over the ocean. When I was a little kid, I flew from Los Angeles to Seoul, Korea and back three times; in 1993, 1996, and 1997. I actually thought that I was so high that the ground couldn't even be seen and that it looks like sky. But I learned later on that it's just the ocean and that from that altitude, you can see the ground if you fly over land.
May I ask, where were you flying from/to?
