You know I'm going to try some of the things you suggested. I used to have natural hari, but I went back to the relaxer. I really hope that this time I can stick it out.
I have a question. Do the baking soda leave a residue in your hair? And when u use vinegar will the acid in the vinegar strip the hair of it's natural oils? Vinegar seems soooo harsh.
The baking soda doesnt like a residue..Use 1tsp and 2 cups warm water..The vinegar is great is stop dandruff..It is not harsh at all..I use half vin and half water..If you what just use a 3/4 water and 1/4 vin..It great over time you will see..Let me know how it goes..oh yeah some people but a lil peppermint oil in there so it will not smell like vin..Plus the peppermint oil makes your hair grow super fast
You're such a great mom. You're not only educating us about natural hair but you're educating your son. He's going to grow up to be a strong, self-loving man. I guess that's what Denzel's mom did as well, and you see how he turned out. Keep up the good work. P.S. I am also natural and loving it.
It's so wonderful to have women like you and the women of nappturality to inspire me in my new natural lifestyle. I'm trying to overcome some personal insecurities. I've always had long beautiful hair and when it broke off I begin wearing long beautiful weaves. Now I'm afraid to show my natural medium length hair. My big chop was 4 months ago and I love it in secret but sometimes feel like I wont be willing to show it until it is long. Now I wear weaves but I want the courage to wear it out
Think about it like this..That natural hair is what God gave you..So that is not just a part of you-IT IS YOU..And you dont have to love YOU in secret.Being natural is about being free and loving yourself period..Being natural is about being happy with the way You are period.
