  • wonder where this was filmed w all the japanese in the audience?

  • who is that guy he reminds me of the guy in balls of fury

  • Better than Elvis :D

  • Two of them perform 2 or 3 nights a week at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki.

  • To the best of my knowledge, they were not only the only Filipino-American rock n' roll group during the late '50's/early 1960's to chart in the US, but also the only Asian American rock n' roll act to chart here in the US.

  • What a riot! I had to watch a second time and I'm sure that's Jack Soo (From the Television show "Barney Miller") introducing the Rocky Fellers in the beginning of this video

  • Thanks, Marshaird, for putting this up; GREAT CLIP!!! "Killer Joe" was popular just around the time I started listening to the local Southern California top 40 stations ('63) but I don't recall hearing it then. I think I have actually become familiar with the Rocky Fellers from listening to the Little Steven Underground garage radio program, he seems to work KJ into his playlist every couple of months. Thanks again, this is very cool.

  • XD!!!!!!!!!!!ROFL

  • Classic Jack Benny. thanks for sharing...

  • At 3:17, in the original network broadcast, Jack said, "Well, good night, folks- and I'll be seeing you next week, for Jell-O" [General Foods and State Farm Insurance were Benny's alternate sponsors at the time].

  • you can use realplayer download, then convert to an avi or mpeg file

  • i think albert was like the hawaiian version michael jackson thats just my opinion

  • Love this group even when I was 11 years old! Jack Benny was such a great guy and I thought he was old back then! LOL

  • They are great!

  • The first (I think) Filipino and Asian American rock n' roll band to hit US chart success.

  • Lead singer is Albert Maligmat. Based in Hawaii, Albert is still performing today all over the world!

  • Haaaaaaaahahaaaaa i wished i was a part of this band ;))))

  • my dad is the singer on the right.....

  • @ Really? My mother is on the very far left [off stage]

  • @lpvcrcd WOW!! I'd give anything to be born in that era and sit in front of Jackie :D

  • really??

  • I LOve it! Uncle Eddie & Uncle Albert still rockin' it out til today! Now they rockin' for the LORD :)

  • Okay, so we have American Jack Soo dressed up like a Japanese, introducing Pinoy dressed up like Americans, and Jack Benny dressed up like the Pinoy . . .LOVE IT!

  • Jack Benny was a classic!

  • Wow...they *are* good - sort of like a Filippino Jackson 5 (and that's a good thing)...

  • Thanks Mike! It was great to see the clip. Is there any way I can burn a DVD from youtube? Virginia : )

  • Auntie, it's me Tina's Rich, I posted this one! I have the vhs tape from Tony of the whole show. I can easily burn to DVD and mail it to you!
