  • Yes it does sound nice. A cheaper alternative would be any controllable Multimode Filter ( I use a MAM Warp 9) for thin sounds, and generally running the signal through two different sounding filters - this will give you a very lively sound on otherwise static sequences.

  • @Moogenerian

I totally agree, thin is awesome. I bought an omega 8 because it can do very high-fi 'thin' sounds, but with lots of body. It emulates the oberhiem sem filter too - maybe there's the similarity.

  • Very Cool. I did size up a Semblance on several ocassions but ended up going for the cheaper Spectral Audio Neptune 2. I'd love to get one of these.

  • Thanks!

It's not cheap, but the sound is really special. Most synths IMO can do fat, but they can't do thin sounds. The Telemark can do the kind of sissling thin I need in my setup. The semimodular part is a nice add on, that opens the gates to analog sequencing heaven.

  • The Telemark is definitely at the top of my most wanted 'gear lust' list at the moment ........ The Oberkorn 3 to go with it would be a close second :-)
