Its not even musical. I like a7x, but many of syns solos are just a bunch of sweeped arpeggios stuck together to make something that sounds crazy. But its not musical at all.

@Monster4rmda559 The wrist is to help with string pollution aka strings that accidentally get touched, usually the wrist band goes on the string but i didnt put it on them.

Well sweeping as also an arpeggio search for some scales and practice them. Sweeping them is just one motion so just make sure you pick each fretted note with one motion and try very hard to cease all of the extra string pollution. Ummm if you have more questions on this msg me and ill explain more! =D

Practice slowly and accurately and build up speed. To be honest i only learned this in a hour to be able to play the the notes but in this video i kinda screwed up of shyness and not practicing it enough to get my fingers and picking used to the fretting and hand positioning.

it's interesting watching Syn play it in the Recording of afterlife vid because he really does use this "economy picking" thing,

Basically, he only picks like 7 times in the whole of the beginning bit before the sweeps, the rest he does all hammer ons and pull offs, same with the little bit after the sweeps (before the tremolo part)

It's not bad. A bit sloppy, but definitely not the worst I've seen. The sweeps could have been a bit tighter and the part at the end (not the harmonic dive, the part before that) It's not just on the high E string that he does that. In the dvd that came with the album, it shows him playing it and he's doing it on the high E and the B as well.

Keep it up, though, man! It's better than what I can do! lol
