  • When i started watching star trek i was certain there'd be nothing fap worthy at all. I was wrong.

  • did anyone else see a spit line on the first kiss?

  • @14megasxlr Yes :)

  • "I heard she was a lesbian..."

"THAT JUST MEANS SHE LIKES WHAT I LIKE!"

  • Jadzia disappointed me by trying to be someone from her past. It was like she was never comfortable being who she was and she had to be someone else all the time.

  • I am an Odo/Kira shipper to the end, but this is the most romantic scene in Star Trek.

  • One of the low points of star trek.

  • overdrive fap mode engage

  • Tribble:SQEEEAK!!

  • in the "strak trek new voyagers" Kirk have a gay nephew. The Klingons will love this notice.

  • This episode is as intense as a love story can get...very impressed with it.

  • Star Trek is so open minded...

I will FOREVER love Star Trek.

  • I never knew that was the Borg Queen! And I usually pick these sort of things up

  • star trek: the place for lesbianism

  • There is no place for bigotry in the starfleet...

On the other hand, im a Cardassian, so... FAP FAP FAP FAP FAP!

  • In Star Trek geek terms, it wasn't homosexual; the two of them are reacting to previous memories left over from heterosexual relationships the symbionts were involved in.

  • @vechron yep, if anything dax's species would be A sexual really, girl then boy, then boy, then girl a few times, after awhile youd just say F it, Im both,.

  • There was a discussion of "kisses" in Hollywood and literature on another site. Though it had been years since I'd seen this scene (no pun intended) I referenced it as being one of the kindest, gentlest, most heartfelt kisses in film or print. Having watched it again after all these many years, I stand by that comment. It had nothing to do with sex, or gender, or gays, or lesbianism... instead it was about love shared between two people.

  • @butlerwm 2:45 Have you ever seen two girls kissing so passionately, and your only thought was that they are just friends and nothing more?

The television has a way to pass messages ... in an innocent way makes you think that everything is normal and correct

  • @sadoxra My thoughts remain as they were when I first viewed it... kind, gentle, and heartfelt. It wasn't about swapping spit, having tongues intertwined, or drool running down their chins. Rather, it was their feelings from their past and how it remained even unto their present. Not feelings of "just friends" but of a deep and abiding love that survived in spite of their separation. For me, that was the meaning of their kiss. It may not have been "normal" but it didn't make it incorrect.

  • @butlerwm I believe that would you say other things if instead of Dax and Lenara were for example 2 men with the same pure love... I am against the passionate kisses between 2 women (or 2 men), with or without tongue, with or without passion, with or without gentle

As I said before, TV has a lot of power. It can make us feel sad even for the death of an offender, even to feel love for two gay men who want to grow an adopted child and the society won't let them.

You can believe what you want man

  • @butlerwm Think also that the time was played on the tv was afternoon... so anybody can saw it... all ages... They know when to send their messages

  • @sadoxra The original airing (here) was early evening (8:00 or 9:00) during prime time. I agree visual media is a powerful art form. Yet, storytelling in any form is art and I believe most artists t have some message or other to convey through their work. Certainly those viewing the message may agree or disagree. But I think each household must determine whether to allow such media and message to be presented within their respective spheres of influence.

  • @butlerwm Many times father and mother, are just not enough to control their children and you know it. If they were enough, we would not have so many rapes, killing, pedophilia, Satanism, seductions etc.

I remember once a child had come out with a sword and impersonated some evil person who came in earth to bring chaos. Who protect this child? Who protect it when he was alone in his room playing an evil game, chatting in internet with adults, or watching adult movies with who knows what content

  • @sadoxra (Part 1) What I "know" after nearly 20 years in law enforcement, a decade with the attorney general, and raising 4 children into adulthood is parents "are" ultimately responsible for what children consume. In our home, there were no TVs or computers in children's rooms, no unsupervised TV viewing or computer use, and no unsupervised excursions (except school); all until their middle teens and taught them the world is full of people who will use, abuse, and harm them at every turn.

  • @sadoxra (Part 2) I also recognize many parents don't go to the same extremes. Yet, it does nothing to relieve those parents of their responsibility. I do not know the answer to the question of "what happens to children in such circumstances?" I do know that censorship and restriction of otherwise legal content is not the answer. Most children are born with malleable minds. And while the state may bear some responsibility to safeguard its people, it responsibility only goes so far.

  • @sadoxra (Part 3) In the end, moral issues must be address on the family level. Not by corporations or government entities. Failure to do so may well lead to the type of "chaos" you mention, however, it is one of the risks we take when we decide we want to live in a free society. A major part of our children's upbringing was how to maintain strong minds and bodies, to better enable them to protect themselves from the things the world might lay at their doorstep.

  • @butlerwm Maybe we are not be able to change each other's thoughts but dude I think we had a constructive debate :)

    Be well

  • YES.

Nothing is wrong with two women kissing, being intimate. It is life promoting, it would help a baby, as she could help the mother.

  • jesus was all the time with man friends and he never married ( well its suposse) for jews people on that time that was a clue of homosexuality ...and Im not calling jesus gay, but love is love and if you dont hurt others people or kill someone or rape a kid ...ahhh many things that are SINS I dont think that God will blame you, peace and love to everyone

  • Ûhm_ÂÑYÓñÊ_wÁNNÁ_chÃt_wÍth_mê_i_fèËl_sÖ_løÑèlý_tõÐåY■

  • Does Lenara come back???

  • @chanor2 No. Sadly enough Dax "dies" and comes back as someone else.

  • @kennd82 The Bible is at best extremely ambiguous on the subject of homosexuality. Jesus himself never made any metnion of them and as for the abomination thing, the Bible also says that wearing a garment madeof two different threads or eating shellfish are also abominations so unless you hold people who eat shrimp or who wear polycotton blend clothes in the same vehemence as you hold gay people I'd say you were being selective ratehr than consistent. First sign of a bigot that.

  • @AmbersKnight It is obvious you do not know your "bible" as well as you claim the two different fabrics was referring to patches and it was to teach a spiritual lesson... that aside read Romans its new testament and it does say the same as the old about sodomy. You are right though sin is sin and all have sinned so no one should be casting stones. I do not hold "vehemence" toward anyone, but I will call sin, sin when it is publicly displayed.

  • @heyrememberwhen Yes but Romans is the opinion of one person, neither of those people being God or Christ (and Christ never said anything about gay people). What you are basically saying is homophobia is acceptable because John says so. John isn't God and as God punished Sodom not for homosexuality but for bad manners you really need to go and re-read your Bible again.

  • @AmbersKnight I'm religious, but I suspect things went down like this:

    God: Don't eat shellfish

    Guy#1: Why?

God: You'll die if it's rotten, and you don't have penicillin. Also, don't bang other guys.

    Guy #2: Why?

God: Because you're supposed to get married, be faithful, and have loads of kids. D'you want the human race to die out or something?

Guy #1: Who's gonna explain that to everyone? Did you understand what he meant?

Guy #2: Nah. Let's just say everything's an abomination.

    God: D'oh!

  • @grumpytosnowwhite Now I reckon you may be on to something there. The problem though, as your possible conversation points out, is that whilst it may have made some sort of sense back in Biblical times, it doesn't make any sense any more. What worries me are the people who, either because they are just hateful by nature or using some sort of political or religious ideology as an excuse, wish to stop other sections of society, legitimate law abiding members of society, being treated as equal.

  • @jesusorder10 So, by your reasoning, being infertile is an abomination as well. Come back when you gain some logical thought processes.

I see people commenting on the lesbian nature of their attraction. Any reluctance wasn't about gender, it was about them being ostracised for breaking a Trill taboo. They weren't allowed to become involved with partners of previous hosts. One would hope that sexuality wouldn't even be an issue that far in the future. >.>

  • @kennd82 Two guys kissing is gross to guys. As a girl, I find it hot, just like you find two girls hot. Two girls is gross to me, but that's my hangup, not theirs.

  • what season is this?

  • God I love lesbians...

  • @kennd82 You miss the point of the episode. The actors happen to both be female, but for the characters, it's not a lesbian encounter.

  • @mcavic That brings up an interesting discussion about gender, doesn't it? The symbionts are w/o sex, but both host identify as female. So yes, it is a "lesbian encounter" in the way we think of sexual orientation.

  • @kers3480 Yes and no. Yes, the hosts are currently both female. But Dax used to be male. And I'm sure that whenever she looks at Lenara, she feels like a man again, which is why she has no reservations about the relationship. Lenara has some reservations, but when they kiss, she's kissing Curzon, not Jadzia. There was a TNG episode where a Trill that Dr. Crusher was dating died and was re-hosted as a woman. But Dr. Crusher couldn't see beyond the skin of the new host.

  • @kennd82 By the way, I love lesbians too. I was just having a serious moment. :)

  • GIGGDY

  • This still isn't as gay as Spock and Kirk in TOS.

  • I've been clicking on random episodes trying to find the one this scene is from. I'd like to see the episode again but can't remember the name. What's the name? Anyone? Pretty please?

  • @Memoria777 It's called "Rejoined", from season 4; personally I'm not a big Jadzia fan, but as far as DS9's Dax centric episodes go this is definitely the best one and I must admit that both Terry Farell and Susanna Thompson did a great job, especially in this scene; they made it look natural. Avery Brooks did a great job directing the episode as well.

  • @Shadowboro2 I'm not a big DS9 fan but I saw that episode & it just popped into my head so I went a-questing. Thanks for replying.

  • this scene is hot

  • being a homosexual is not like being white or black so get over it. It is an action that you perfer to indulge in .

  • @olympicsportsrule You sin too.

  • @olympicsportsrule

No, being a bigot is an action which you prefer to indulge in. Sexual orientation is a core and unchangable part of your being, equally as much as skin colour.

  • When did this show become Xena: Warrior Princess?

  • can anyone tell me what time is from what season what show please

  • hot

  • Manchmal sind die Originalstimmen besser gespielt als die Synchros...

  • That was cute.

  • Awww, I always loved this scene, thank you for posting it <3

  • fap fap fap fap fap fap

  • @zionphoenix001 LMAO

  • I cried :')

  • I think that Lenara left because she knew if she stayed, she and Dax may have ended up making love.

  • I lmfao XD

  • Great Scene :D Star Trek always did those "crazy" things ... like when Chakotay kissed this 8472 :D I mean she looked human but it was uggly as hell :D

I just read they deleted this episode in a few states :D die amis sond immer so streng :D is doch nice :D

  • Nice and sloppy

  • If Terry Farrell were to look at me like that I would kiss her too. No matter if I were a man, a woman or a slimy shapeshifter. -.-

  • sf soap opera DS 9 amazingly boring

  • Looks like Doc. Bashir DEFINITELY isn't getting any from Dax now...

  • @Seijitsu0 Actually if you have watched the series he does technically get some from Dax as he hooks up with Ezri Dax, Dax's next Host.

  • I love how girls pretend to be lesbians to turn me on

  • @charger619c rofl ... idiot!

  • What episode whas this?

  • BONER!!!!

  • I have to say the acting is a whole lot better than the writing.

  • wow i let t.v guide my thoughts, good on you america slip deeper into fantasy land

  • I'm a bit confused about something now.

When I first saw this, I get the thing about they don't want the dead guys new body (dax) to be involved with the dead guy's widow. I get that.

But is the other girl, the actual dead widow, or is it her old body/personality that was the spouse of Dax's symbiote?

I thought "Kerzon" was the husband to other women, not that both of them were differant people

  • The other girl's symbiote (who was also a woman) was married to the previous Dax symbiote (Kurzon). They're both in different hosts now.

  • @ishockmyself not kurzon it was tobios ,or something with a T, but def not kurzon

  • @StuffedAnimalAdvisor dax is the symbiote jadzia is the new body and no Lenara isnt the actuall widow and it wasnt kurzon that was married it was some guy named T...?

  • @DaceFalar7 : THIS is the reason why you CAN watch DS9 at all! This episode is so well done!

  • dax had no problem staying away from worf after ezri became dax

  • @wadyano

Haven't you seen ep's. 717-719 "Penumbra", "'Til Death Do Us Part", and "Strange Bedfellows"? I'd hardly say they had no problems.

  • This is television's first girl/girl passionate kiss. On the original Star Trek we saw televisions first interracial kiss. Kirk & Uhura.

  • @BoomerQ The whole of television's *first* girl/girl passion-kiss? Not for Europe, not by a loooooooong shot. And not for Britain or Japan.

  • "Well, then, that should settle that." I must say this is brilliant acting on both parties part.

  • But it isn't a homosexual relationship at all. Have any of you even watched this show or this series at all? The previous Dax host that was married to the previous Lenara host was a MAN at the time, married to a WOMAN who happens to have the same sex for a host this go-round, while her husband's new host this lifetime is also a woman.

  • Even though this homosexual relationship was just between symbionts, it was a big step for Star Trek and I, for one, am very pleased that they took it.

  • @ShoobeedoobopDance well, it is the Future! No limitations!

  • @ShoobeedoobopDance A big ratings step, hahaha. Who likes watching two hot girls kiss? If this was two men they would never have aired it.

  • I find it odd that Star Trek is such a utopian series, but is so conservative at the same time. Just a thought.

  • Because naturally, a utopia precludes the possibilty of conservative values. (/sarcasm)

That seems a rather closed minded view to me.

  • Well of course it doesn't preclude the possibility of conservative values. I just find it interesting how the series depicts humans living in something akin to a Socialist utopia- a society with no war, no poverty, a single massive world government, and an economy based on the concept of communal gain. But at the same time, it reinforces the traditional conservative American value system in a big way.

  • As you so astutely point out, the ideas need not be at odds. However, in the Cold War culture of the 1960s from which Trek sprang, the idea was quite radical indeed.

  • But see, that's what's so great about Star Trek. It sees past all the talk. The thing is, traditional conservative values don't necessarily oppose communal gain, and they certainly aren't for poverty and war. It's just that right at this point in time, liberal America is using all of those points as rallying platforms to gather and launch attacks at conservatism. Star Trek is awesome because it portrays a society that most people in America could agree with.

  • I am Australian, but that is perhaps beside the point. I totally agree-- there is room for compromise on both sides of the political spectrum. Extremism from either side would create essentially the same result-- a truly miserable nation, whose people are oppressed. I guess the main reason I love Trek is because it fills me with optimism that one day, we'll all be able to put our differences aside and work towards the betterment of the human race.

  • not what you think, the simbiont inside dax, keeps the cognitive and emocinal memories of the lenara former husband , died while testing a new type of spacecraft, by the new simbiont host and the former relatives must not relate , burt by accident they both coincide at the same time on DS-9

  • Yeah, I see your point. This vid just got me thinking about the way Star Trek producers refused to depict homosexual relationships on the show at all. Even this isn't a true depiction, since the relationship is really between the symbionts.

  • guess what she's gonna be thinking about in the sonic shower?

  • This is the only star trek series to have lesbian kissing and is therefore the best.

  • @Redomar Sounds like you just proved your case. +D

  • Give Voyager some slack, I think it had one of the best relationships between two women portrayed. Janeway racing across space to save Seven of Nine from the borg? Come on now, that relationship was pretty epic.

  • @RaptorClaws24 : I completely agree..there was a huge subtext..I wish the screenwriters gave them a chance to get involved, but instead of that they put seven together with chakotay - blah!..nothing aginst chakotay, but this seemed to be too borg-ish decission to pick the male crew member with highest rank. They simply could not let seven be single ;)..

  • =P Awesome

  • Best Lesbian Couple Ever...

    This Love Is So Beautiful...

    Also... Hurt My Heart...

    Sad...

  • 2:53 spit string!

  • cool, but not fappable.

  • 2:45 - Lenara tries to eat Dax's thumb...

    nice clip.

  • what happened to Terry Farrell. She should do some movies with someone. What is she doing now. Anyone know? it's like she dropped acting.

  • Is that the borg queen from Voyager?

  • The Borg Queen has been played by two different actresses; Alice Krige & Susanna Thompson. The actress kissing Jadzia Dax (Terry Farrell) in Deep Space Nine is Susanna Thompson, so yes, this is the Borg Queen you are thinking of.

  • @psylockelaw Oh sweet jesus! She kissed the Borg Queen!

  • Stopulano the kiss took place in the 1990's Farrell didn't marry until 2002

  • Nevermind ratings boost, who is Jadzia, who is Dax, or anything else. We need to focus on the important part of this scene: check out the awesome spit string between the women right when they disconnect for the first time. That's awesome right there.

  • I wonder how Farrell's husband felt about this one lol

  • She wasn't married at the time. But she probably went on dates and maybe she had a boyfriend (she dated Michael Dorn - who played Worf - for a while around that time). I don't know how her husband would have felt, but I know that if my wife was an actress and the script required her to kiss another actress (or fake a sex scene with one) I wouldn't have any problem with it.. After all, why would anyone have a problem? It's only acting, it's not like she's having an affair.

  • Your description is wrong. Jadzia is the member of the crew, Dax is the symbiont living with her. Dax is the elder, Jadzia is the host.

  • Perhaps a Venn diagram would help? Technically, you are correct; technically speaking though, since Dax is a part of Jadzia and Jadzia is a member of the crew, then it stands to reason that both are a member of the crew, even if one is a symbiont.

  • My comment was mostly the way you wrote "Dax's elder." I wasn't trying to be an ass about it, it just seemed confusing because Dax was married to Kahn, Lenara's elder.

But, I guess it's all academic since they do refer to her as "Lieutenant Dax" all the time anyway.

  • @psylockelaw so does that mean that both Dax and Jadzia get paid? If so, thats one heck of a money arner. Claiming double the money because part of you is another being...

  • i'd do them both!

  • A ratings boost that's all this is, a fucking ratings boost. It has nothing to do with sexuality or any of that shit. Ratings only. This is business. Fucking idiots reading so deep into this bullshit. It's a fucking TV show, same as all the other TV shows that needed ratings and had women get it on. Look it up yourself because I'm tired of posting obvious examples, for fucks sake.

  • I don't agree about the ratings boost. If this is one, so every kissing scene between women on tv is as well. don't forget it was made in 1994 (more or less), at that time that kind of issue was less used as titillating as today...

  • I'm sorry, but saying that this scene is "a fucking ratings boost" only serves to show your ignorance. This scene was never meant to convey 2 women kissing on screen, it was written to give further insight into Trill society. When I first saw this scene I didn't perceive it as a love scene between two lesbians, but as a show of affection between two beings (after all, it is the symbionts who are in love with each other, not the 2 female hosts). It was a great scene that showcased how strong

  • feelings such as love or hate can endure beyond the death of the hosts and carry on even though it is forbidden by Trill society laws for the 2 symbionts to fall in love again. I found the concept a most interesting one and it just helped to increase my respect for Star Trek. But I never, not for a second considered it some plot devised by the writers to cash in by having a gratuitous lesbian kiss scene. To think as such would be an insult to DS9's great writing staff, not to mention prepostrous

  • Quite simply, this is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my whole life.

  • what are you lesbian the name

    Glitterprincess23 implies your female

  • Oh please come out of the Dark Ages. Its sad this show about the future is still weighed down by the sexual ignorance you display.

They actually tried to deal with an adult theme knowing the sensitivity of the issue and gross stupidity of too many Americans with the same beliefs as the Taliban.

Go to Bouvier Law Dictionary. There was never a 'natural' law forbidding sex between women. This is why most repressive societies r OK with women kissing and holding hands.

  • The Natural Law violations applies to male on male, male on beast and female on beast. It says nothing against female on female.

Most of you with strong opinions against homosexuality have no logic or anything other than a childish viewpoint given to u like a maggot given to parrots.

In fact, there's a lot about guys like u which u would consider 'gay' which is why u r always attacking others for what u fear within urself.

  • anyways i'm really sorry you took it the wrong way, are we cool?

  • I just believe many women have a different take on these issues of intimacy with another woman. It shouldn't come with labelling which in this society 'Lesbian' is a derogatory term even as its attempt to be embraced in defiance. It seems this would be a question u would ask her in private because it sounds accusatory. But I c ur point. Just that even this society accepts girls kissing, handing hands and even is more lenient with older woman young girls than its male relation counterpart.

  • In many ways the more recent Star Treks were more prudish than the original as Kirk was a sort of James Bond, Don Juan and others types combine. It attempted to show we had moved beyond the taboos in the future but those were the times and now we are back to ignoring the sx urge as much as possible.

  • no no i'm not saying there is anything wrong with it one of my best friends is gay i was just wondering, sorry you took it the wrong way

besides if i thought this was wrong that why do you think i would be watching this

  • @Glitterprincess23 I couldn't have said it better myself.

  • @Glitterprincess23 It was beautiful.

  • Shoulda had Worf walk in at that moment and scream

    "WHAT THE FUCK!"

    I should write these shows

  • LMAO!

    Oh shit, that was funny!

  • Sabe alguien como ver este capitulo entero?

  • loved this scene. and the whole point that it wasn't the bodies or hosts in love it was the memories, the symbionts. something more.

  • I can't watch this right now. I don't want to sleep great.

  • i love lesbians!

  • Likewise!

  • @olympicsportsrule im not disguising anything. I feully and openy admit: I love lesbians!

  • @olympicsportsrule interesting coincidence: Most obstinate homophobes do not seem able to spell correctly.

    You are no exception.

  • Of all the species in the Star Trek universe, joined Trills seem to have the most fun and get the most out of their experiences. The simbionts in particular have the benefit of living several lifetimes (though presumably not all of them get to live as many as Dax has), experience life from both perspectives (man & woman) etc. It's a shame that the only Trek series that shed some light on Trill society was DS9, although the TNG episode "The Host" was a good introduction to the Thril species.

  • Technically, this isn't a lesbian kiss since Lenara & Jadzia don't have any feelings for each other (the ones who do are the 2 symbionts Khan & Dax;the hosts - Lenara & Jadzia - hadn't even met before Lenara arrived on DS9;not to mention that when they fell in love Khan's host was a woman and Dax's host was a man). But I guess that to the viewers and to the actresses (Susanna Thompson & Terry Farrell) it must have felt like a lesbian kiss. This scene is just one of the many reasons why DS9 rocked

  • stick a finger in

  • Yass. I do. :)

  • I'd better go .... :(

  • ok.... so iv never watched Deep Space 9 before... but now I do :S which is the one with the dark hair???? she rea.lly hot lol :D ...oh I love being a lesbian lol..

  • this is actually the most attractive women in the hole star trek-universe!

  • That's Jadzia Dax. She dies.

LOL yeah, she's hot. And fun. And completely bisexual. After all, she's been a guy on occasion.

  • The one with the blue clothes?

    That's Dax.

The one with brown hair is Lenara ;)

  • *thumbs up* Thank you lol xxx

  • The one with the dark hair is Jadzia Dax, and I'm convinced she's at least bisexual. She comes on to Kira a LOT. It's all in the subtext :D that show is full of homosexual subtext. Being a dyke trekkie is so much fun! *skips off to watch more ds9*

(Ps; Garak hearts Bashir. Just saying.)

  • @sorryranga1 Watch Star Trek Voyager, looks for the scenes with Captain Janeway and Seven of Nine. Plenty more stuff for you there.

  • @randomface54 yes, but nothing as "physical" as this!

  • @In0tuhTR3KKi3 True, Kate Mulgrew was too damn prudish to get it on with Jeri. Shame they forgot the first rule of showbusiness; give the people what they want. If DS9 could get away with it for an episode with no continued story arc (they should have carried it on, but they didn't) then Vyager could have gotten away with carrying on a relationship which continued for 4 sodding seasons without being accused of using sex to boost ratings.

  • @randomface54 I actually heard through the grapevine they were going to bring Seven and the Capta
