THE INSURANCE COs., THE DOCTORS, THE DRUG COs. AND THE HOSPITALS HAVE PAID MILLONS TO WASH. DC. SO THAT THEY CAN CONTINUE TO RAPE AND BILK THE SYSTEM LIKE THEY DO NOW.
Other than being an over the road truck driver chooing to be an RN will take you down a road that provides very little if any home time and taking call will give you a 30 hour plus shift. You will be so tired and so badly treated you will be like most RNs ,,, You will quit with the first two years. Roughly 60 % quit to never pracice nursing again. The fact speak for themselves.
As far as CNAs are concerned, I was one for a while and it is very demanding work. However, it is much less stressful and more routine than anything else. Must give both credit because they each are a necessary component to patient care.
Every job is hard in it's own right. Most people don't realize all that nurses do. The job can be extremely stressful especially since nurses have to take responsibility for all the nursing care including what the CNA does. They may delegate "Stable" patient's care but regardless they are held accountable even if the CNA makes a mistake. Having someone's life in your hands can be overwelming....
Like we don't clean up? Hello! And what about responsibility? Who signs the charts? Who gives IV drugs? Who makes the judgment to call the doctor when the patient takes a turn for the worse? Who evaluates labs?, etc... Get the training and the education and become a Registered Nurse.
i'm a bsn graduate. i have cleaned plenty of butts in my life time. i'm not too grown to do so. but, having a good cna makes all the difference in the world. and you have to supervise the ones who don't do their job, and often have to do their job on top of yours. if a pt doesn't get bathed, the cna doesn't get yelled at first, the nurse does.
your job is hard thats coz you didn't go to school. dumbass. I'd be pissed off too if I was wipin ass and cleanin caca all day and get 10 bucks an hour for it,

THE PTs AND THE NURSES WILL GET THE SHAFT.
