  • In the USA, this powertrain combo of the DD 6V92TA and the Voith D863-W7 were only encountered in Portland, ME (Portland Metro), Miami, FL (Metro-Dade County TA), White Plains, NY (Westchester County Bee-Line) and Fresno, CA (FAX) ... all of them Flxible Metros.

  • that is one fine machine my friend

  • If you guys like D40's, make sure you go to Winnipeg. There is tons left there!

  • @Bus7777 I shall make a trip up there soon, hopefully there will be some left...

  • WOW my favorite engine of all time in a Flyer! Now this is what I'm talking about! Gotta fav this one.

  • The first road the bus goes down is the road my school bus use to take every day when I was around 8-9.

  • Do you know the driver? He looks like the driver who gave me a tour of the Spring Gardens bus garage in 2002.

  • high floors are rapidly dying breed, d40hf have always been one of my favorites

  • Man this bus sounds sweet!

  • I just actually saw one of Victoria's few MCI Classic's today. I wish I could've rode it, but it was on a route going to the Airport :(

  • With the mass amount of Novas comin' in, grab every chance that you can to ride a classic, simply because you never know if you will see any on the road the next day! =(

  • I know! I was dissapointed when I heard that BC Transit was getting more double-deckers in fleet. I dislike them, getting on the top deck is troublesome.

  • cool! it's always nice to ride a last unit in service.

  • Nice bus! This is the most common bus used in Victoria, BC.

  • Are you sure about that? Last time I checked, Victoria had D40LF's not D40's along with Double Deckers andMCI/GM Classics.

  • My bad. Didn't realize until after the video that it wasn't the low-floor model.

  • The only place in BC where you can find New Flyer D40s is Vancouver. BC Transit doesn't run any D40s in their systems including Victoria.

  • Yes. I read that every bus in Victoria is low-floor.

  • Very nice bus! Nice vid too!
