In some muslim communities there is an unofficial system whereby leaders offer small judgements, usually of a moral character, much like confession for catholics. However, British law overrides any other form of social control, Sharia or otherwise. I'm guessing you're already aware that Sharia merely means 'the way' or 'the path' and is in no way legally binding in the usual sense. We have sharia because we don't believe in religious oppression.

In some muslim communities there is an unofficial system whereby leaders offer small judgements, usually of a moral character, much like confession for catholics. However, British law overrides any other form of social control, Sharia or otherwise. I'm guessing you're already aware that Sharia merely means 'the way' or 'the path' and is in no way legally binding in the usual sense. We have sharia because we don't believe in religious oppression.

For the good of the world a politician needs to take a stand and ban anyone from owning more than a single newspaper, magazine tv or radio station. Most people dont pay attention to the facts and figures and base their opinions on what the media says. It would be political suicide but would be worth it.

I have voted for Ralph Nader at least 3 times and when Ron Paul ran against Bush Sr. as a Lib. I voted for him.
