Alright so alot of people seem to be saying this game sucks, well compared to the first SL it does a little, and for those who think it's a sequel, it does take on another story entirely while still wrapping up events from the first. That was the part of the game I thought did pretty well. The game itself is a survival horror/click and move which is more about combining objects to solve puzzles. Where as the original SL made u think ahead in order to solve them. Tbh I found this one much easier.
I'm looking forward to playing this game, but it doesn't look like it flows very well from the first. What happened in LA? Why is she still involved as an FBI agent and using FBI materials when she quit the FBI in the last game to go rogue? Seems like the developers kind of skirted over those details to produce the game as they wanted it,. Would like to play it, but doubt it'll wow me or capture the same attention the previous game did.
@wussyme You me both I miss the old games like Dracula, Frankenstein through the eyes of a monster, etc....These game designers act like their shit dont stink but it does. Specially when it comes to games!!
sucks, the 1st still life had me replaying it again and again just to feel immersed in that gritty world, you felt like you wanted to be there no matter how creepy it was especially the beginning, i know this will sound stupid but the sequel almost feels like the newer broken swords but not as good, zany more than creepy, i miss the music, feel, look and soul of still life 1, this just makes me sad because it had so much potential and they shat all over it
I didn't like this game as much. It was still fun to play, but I thought the sequel would be Vic in L.A. hunting down the killer from still life 1's pupil. Afterall, the entire end scene of the first game was about Vic talking about going to L.A. to continue her search. Also, I played the German version with English subtitles. I didn't realize the English version had missing dubs. I don't care about graphics and thought they were satisfactory but I do care about voice acting.
Yeah, great plot, suspense and blah blah. But there was absoluetly no effort put into the graphics nor the media. Their lips don't even fucking move, that's ridiculous.
@xWordtoYourMoms I agree with you big time. But I got past that, and I admit that i am enjoying myself. I recently bought the first one, and I can't wait to play it.
The pace of the game is really slow. Okay, we have a serial murder investigation of huge proportions going on, and they walk around like it's a Sunday afternoon brunch. I know you can make them run, I'm just saying...
The animations are bad. Turning and avatar redirection is very awkward. This makes the character interaction look forced and unnatural.
The idea of the game is good, the scenes are cool. I just wish they put more time into making it look more natural and realistic.
Imagine being on a crimescene running around like a lunatic or more like a hen that just got its head cut off. How would that benefit to the investigation?
Now that would have been unnatural.
I think that the whole idea and the build-up is pretty solid. I guess that if this game was released a couple of years back the graphics would have been considered as "good", but since I am one of the lucky ones who havent become a "graphic-whore" (and never will be) the style of graphics dont bother me
It sucks that they couldnt use the style of graphics and clips and voices of the last still life game. i dont i think this'll be a good game. and the camera follows the characters everywhere. not cool. the last game was better than this one.
It's not bad at all, because the puzzles are really tough and the atmosphere is also quite good. But it's a bit too expensive for the bad graphic, in my point of view. The the style from the first part was really brilliant, although the technical possibilities were quite low. What a pity.
Booring!

@SymphonyOfDestruct99 isn't this game a point and click adventure game and la noire is of a different genre?

WHY does she talk like that? It seems as if she's trying make things scary instead of letting things play out. I hate her voice.

trying to* Way too dramatic. It's unecessary.
