I guess most people dont get is that star trek ships from TNG and up are completely immune to lasers (With acception to the death star) as seen in one of the TNG episodes... so those imperial ships stood NO CHANCE AT all!

Like I said, it's not something I could explain in a tutorial. The making-of explains the general process but I've been learning computer animation for more than a decade so I can't just tell you how to make space battles.

If you do a google search, there are loads of "Carrara Tutorials" out there. The program itself comes with a lot of useful tutorials to help you get started as well.

It might be a little difficult to make out the details at low-quality, but it's supposed to be heavily damaged. (The nacelle is completely blown open on the left side, and the Bussard collector - the red thing - is destroyed on the right side.) Perhaps I have just exposed too much knowledge of Star Trek terminology...

Um...to me, it looked like the Federation was made out to be smarter than the Rebels. And have better technology. There are certain flaws that really dont' fit with the movie, like the fact that a shuttle craft could destroy the Death Star. :/ They didn't have any plans or anything, and the Death Star's shield should have prevented them scanning it. But overall, entertaining. Sort of. :/ 2/5

The Death Star's shield is capable of blocking the Federation's scanning technology? I'm glad someone's here to tell me these things, because there's certainly no way of knowing that otherwise given they're from two entirely separate franchises. But thanks for the laugh, 5/5.
