Hank could wale like no other. He said he was moaning the blues. Hank wrote most of his own material. To me this makes his performances very personal. when you add up all the great entertainers that wrote most of their own material are few and far between. When listening to his songs you can peer into his soul.

Hank Williams, Sr. died Dec. 31, 1952 between 11:00 & 12:00. It was later recorded on Jan. 1, 1953 that Hank was dead.

Hank was truly the KING of country music. This is timeless and true country. It is a crying shame you never hear songs like this on the radio today. All you hear is some BS be bop acts calling themselves country. Real country music died in the late 80"s not a single act out there today that is so called country that are worthy enough to shine Hank's shoes.
