The bible also states the parable of the man who gave his servants money; the first invested the money and doubled it; the second invested it and also doubled it; but the third hid the money until the master returned. Jesus never told his apostles to tithe and the apostles never told any church to tithe. Like the animal sacrifices that pre-date the Mosaic law also tithing is no more. There is no more Levitial priesthood. Even if you study how tithing was actually done in scripture, you'll learn that what is done today is nothing but a money making scam.

I am telling you that you sorely need to learn the difference between old and new covenant. What was for the Jew is not what is for the church regarding many things. Under the old covenant they got earthly returns as they were promised. Now you are promised eternal life and should not worry for earthly gain, Luke 12. When Paul spoke of "sowing bountifully" he was speaking of a gift to POOR SAINTS.

It'll be smart if we leave this man alone. He is a strong man of god. God probably gave him the revelation to revel this passage in this way to help someone. We know not God's plans. Unless he speaks of blasphemy or false things then I think it's best to leave him alone. We have our own walk so "JUDGE YE NOT, THAT YE NOT BE JUDGE". Watch what you say you could be setting yourself up. The toungue is fire.

Just because someone has a TV broadcast does not mean they are a "man of God". Jesus said the false teachers would come IN HIS NAME, Matthew 24:5.
And read all of Matthew 7 and 1 Corinthians 5:9-13.

LounginApe - Notice you are citing practices carried out under the old covenant. You will not find a single instance where the apostles and the New Covenant church engaged in tithing. Go to InYourBible[dot]com and learn some truth. Paul spoke to Gentiles who knew nothing of Jewish customs and he never instructed them to tithe. Instructions for giving were to give to those in need. Not multi-millionaires.

The Word of God is the Word of God. OT, NT, whatever. These scriptures on tithing are APART from the Law. They are just as much applicable to the believer today as the Ten Commandments are.

Did you know you're beyond the 10 commandments? See 2 Corinthians 3. You are no longer under the "tablets of stone". Never mind not committing murder or stealing, now you must love your neighbor as yourself. A higher calling. You give as the Lord leads, not some mandated percentage. Tithing was totally part of the law of the old covenant. A dead covenant and there is no dual-covenant, John Hagee lies and claims Jews are saved without faith in Jesus Christ.
What you call "tithing" today DOES NOT EVEN COME CLOSE to what actual tithing was and is detailed in scripture. You're following a man made system, that is NOT the will of the Lord Jesus.

Who did Jesus tell you to give to if you want to give to Him? Read Matthew 25:31-46. That is what the apostles did, not mandates of giving 10% to somebody who claims to have a "ministry" and spends it on TV time and a building.
Malachi is talking old covenant. Jesus was the offering that did away with all others, Hebrews 10.
Again, you won't find the apostles talking about tithing, because they didn't do it and you should free yourself from that false teaching.

I don't see any getting around that. That is crystal clear. Refusal to give God what is His brings a curse. I have never heard or read Hagee preach dual-covenant theology. I have heard him speak of blessing the Jews and about those who will see the Christ as Savior and be saved in the Tribulation.

Hagee WILL NOT ALLOW anyone that helps him give those food baskets to poor Jews minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Hagee will not minister about Jesus Christ to Jews. Hagee thinks they're all going to Heaven although they deny Jesus. It's a lie and smack in the face of the work of Jesus and the apostles for them. The apostles ministered Jesus to Jews, Hagee refuses.

Heresy? Too much kool-aid there, pal. Please provide an example if u can? He's fat and loud, but he speaks the bible truth. How simple is this: God GIVES YOU the ABILITY to make money (or "increase", however it applies) He only requires that you give back 10% (It comes from Him anyways, whats so unfair about that) He goes on to say if you give more, you will receive more. Go talk to a farmer to understand the laws of planting and sowing. Thats how it works...

The only time Jesus mentioned tithing was in talking about "matters of the law" because the old covenant didn't die till His resurrection. There is no dual-covenant, Hebrews 8:13. Do you offer heave offerings, or burnt offering or any of the other old covenant activities of offerings? What you call "tithing" does not even meet how it was actually carried out. Jesus said if you dont understand this parable, how can you understand any parable. It amazes me that so many get this parable wrong, when jesus even explained it for the disciples. The explanation is in the bible yet people still get it wrong. I can only conclude that they do it deliberatly.

John Hagee is all about money. But I guess it wouldn't be fair to just point him out. Materialism is one of the traits that characterizes this generation. Just wishes all of this nonsense wasn't being done in the name of Christ. It would not have been so bad if these were just regular people out in society trying to hoard up money for themself, ..the fact that Christ is being used to gratify personal lust is really unfortunate

Why are these rich preachers selling salvation from poverty by faith? It is virtually unseen of any of these men helping the poor (Being a Christian). They are hateful. Jesus said: "... they will make merchandise of you..."
