We recently wtached this movie for SADD (a.k.a Students Against Destructive Descisions) we only had at least 30 ppl come but it was an AMAZING movie!! o couple of us actually eneded up crying in the end! THIS MOVIE IS VERY INSPIRTATIONAL!! :)
I just loved this movie, I watched it with my lil girl's and it has a strong messafe not only about God, but the fact that your not alone and shouldn't have to feel alone. There is always someone to talk to. Because like in the movie when Jake needed his friends to pick him up at the party they all bailed on him. I rather have one and know that she is always going to be there for me. I think this is one of the reason's why I want to go back to college and becoming a teacher.
wow ,no offense but is this how public school is like? good for me i'm in a Christian school and most of us are religious , public schools should include religion as a subject it'll make a huge difference.

If you cut yourself, how does that make God look to the world? How do the people around you feel or would feel if they knew? How does God feel, because he knows? Hell yeah , If there was a 20 years old critic I bet you he would say word Awesome like 50 times. In this past year, I feel so down that sometimes I just want to disappear from this world. I didn't hurt myself, no, but I just want to disappear. Things seems extremely difficult and problems keeps facing one after another.
I actually watched this at an after-school function in our auditorium. We all thought the movie was going to be lame, and went to see our friends (and for the free food). I know I wasn't the only one pleasantly surprised, and the movie received a standing ovation when it ended. I think it's also safe to say, even though we all tried to hide it, the movie had most of us in tears.
I watched this in our Sunday youth group and today I drove all over Minneapolis and it's suburbs looking for this movie. This movie is awesome I'd recommend this movie to anyone Christian or non christian it really shows that god can do amazing things in people just like he did in me.
I live near this school, and the beach scenes, I live there, Oceanside freaking RULES! This movie is also amazing, Rachel Britts, was my English11 teacher at OHS and she was Executive producer on this film, I know some of the kids in this movie also!

I saw this movie about three years into a terrible depression...I was far from God and only falling farther away...this movie broke the wall I'd been building between us for three years. God used it to completely humble me. That night I rededicated my life to Him. January 31st, 2010, God used this movie to, quite literally, Save My Life. :) I love You Lord <3

I thought it was about a kid trying to find more meaning for his own life but no its not and the moive ends being a little soft in the story department and inrelaistic from a teenage stand point. Hell yeah , If there was a 20 years old critic I bet you he would say word Awesome like 50 times. And as a lot of people didn't understand the story line was really simple and the move was besed on action/fantasy. In this past year, I feel so down that sometimes I just want to disappear from this world. I didn't hurt myself, no, but I just want to disappear. Things seems extremely difficult and problems keeps facing one after another.

I actually watched this at an after-school function in our auditorium. We all thought the movie was going to be lame, and went to see our friends (and for the free food). I know I wasn't the only one pleasantly surprised, and the movie received a standing ovation when it ended. I think it's also safe to say, even though we all tried to hide it, the movie had most of us in tears.

I watched this in our Sunday youth group and today I drove all over Minneapolis and it's suburbs looking for this movie. This movie is awesome I'd recommend this movie to anyone Christian or non christian it really shows that god can do amazing things in people just like he did in me.

I live near this school, and the beach scenes, I live there, Oceanside freaking RULES! This movie is also amazing, Rachel Britts, was my English11 teacher at OHS and she was Executive producer on this film, I know some of the kids in this movie also!

I saw this movie about three years into a terrible depression...I was far from God and only falling farther away...this movie broke the wall I'd been building between us for three years. God used it to completely humble me. That night I rededicated my life to Him. January 31st, 2010, God used this movie to, quite literally, Save My Life. :) I love You Lord <3

I can't believe some people dissed this movie just because it was religious. IT HAS A GOOD POINT IN IT OKAY? Look past the minor details. I'm a christian, but honestly? When I looked at this movie I had no clue this was a religious movie. Don't complain.

What about people that kill themselves BECAUSE of god..? Like, if they're gay, or if they're ashamed of themselves? Well anyway, this was a stale version of a drama sprinkled with religion. I'm fine with themes of religion in any movie, but the actual production and acting was HORRIBLE. haha

If you weren't moved by this movie or couldn't see the message in this movie, you're just insensitive or just biased against religion. Don't focus on the acting or production, think about the freakin message they're trying to get across to people like you.

I watched Faith Like Potatoes and I really enjoyed it, even though I'm not a religious person, because it was a good movie that had good acting and a good message. And no, I AM going to think about those things because that's what is involved in movie-making. If I didn't want to pay attention to those things I would've read a book."People like you"? warning to anyone who watches this movie, i did not know it was a religous movie. I thought it was about a kid trying to find more meaning for his own life but no its not and the moive ends being a little soft in the story department and inrelaistic from a teenage stand point. Im 24 and had a daughter at 15 and our parents gave us grief but our friends were still willing to give support had we asked this movie is for those who are some what religous- thank you

Do you really believe in god or are you going along with your christian friends so you don't look bad and you go along with what you have been taught. But do you really know why god made us and why he died for us? Maybe he didn't and you're believing in an old tale.

I have a misery life...
My dad had been in vietnam and is brain damaged...he killed his parents....
My mother had became a whore and is a drug addict...
I was going to do a suicide until a friend of mine told me:
"Life is what you make it, If you have to do something....think twice and act."
That is what saved my life..Today I hold a team to help the people which are drung addicts and also ex whores with aids...Love your life and live it too....with responsibility.

this movie is about, no matter who they r, respect them for who they are, believe in them, and be with them, u dont know what kinda person they r until it rely matters the most, being the uncool person sometimes means the greatest things too the others around u who are so inspired and moved by what u do that they follow u, jake tyler was a great inspiratuion too me, he taught me that even though it may be tough for the little people, stick through it, its worth it in the end.
