This still amazes me after 25 years. What's awesome is that this isn't a metal cover of a pink floyd song. It's a cover of a metal pink flod song. If you don't think floyd were metal, seRch for floyd doing astronomy, Live in belgium, 68. (won't let me post a link.). (it's weird that the cameraman or editors completely left gilmour out of the video, but watch mason ... He nearly destroys his drum kit.

@SDMFAnthony01 Excellent Version! It makes it a video and version, that is theirs, to make Their band Shine by working on it and creating it thus. They read more extra informational interpretation of the song than quite exists in the Pink Floyd versions, like a person on LSD listening to the song - as also like Syd on acid when writing the song. Death is in there strongly as is appropriate - subteranian Alien death in green waters of a Higher space Alien venturing into the mysteries.

I don't know if anyone realizes, but old pink floyd riffs (given they were underground at the time) sounded like the stuff Mayhem were playing back in the late 80's and early 90's.

@ARDUNNO Pink Floyd has always been a controversial candidate when it comes to being labeled as Metal. I always thought of them as one of the innovaters of Metal that play much more different than the bands after them but are still Metal. Bands like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Rush.

@NightShade1218 humble opinion; Pink Floyd isn't 'metal'. Nor are they 'Prog'. Nor, even, 'Rock'. I don't know what the hell those guys were... 'good'? 'Art'? 'Music'? Point being, Floyd was so far out there, as to defy any classification of it's time... or now. Great cover, but look at the weird and wide range of Floyd covers that are out there... fertile ground for all genres.

I'm from sweden and in the eighties not everybody hade perfect english pronounciation and there is no th sound in swedish... so we couldnt say thrash instead we said trash metal.. do you get it? :) People still refer to it as trash metal :/

Amazing song by an amazing band! I finally got to see them in Barcelona in 2009 with Sepultura, Municipal Waste and someone else... Away came up to me outside the venue and told me "cool t-shirt" as I was of course wearing the original Voivod t-shirt. Got a photo with Snake as well inside the club. They all seemed like great guys. Long live Voivod!
