Amazing Talent, the reason roast are not like this today is these guys spent years honing their craft and they were around for very long time. They could be funny without being vulgar, taste change and times change. Look up Lenny Bruce. I always wondered why Frank wasnt at this roast.

@atoxx1 - Prinze suffered from depression, and in 1977 shot himself after talking on the telephone with his estranged wife. His business manager tried to intervene, but Prinze shot himself in the head. He was 22. The death was ruled a suicide, but in a civil case brought years later, a jury found that his death was accidental. Prinze had a history of playing with guns, faking suicide attempts to frighten his friends for his amusement.

I was thinking that exact same thing tonight as I was watching Pamela Anderson's Roast (Technically I wasn't watching it, I was channel surfing. Each and every time that my TV turned onto the roast someone was cussing or making a lewd comment. The word "Celebrity" means very little these days; that word used to be reserved for the best and the brightest stars, these days all you have to do is sleep with a famous person or show your boobs to gain such a status.

I remember seeing his debut on the Tonight Show. That night he blew Johnny Carson and guest star Sammy Davis away and he was invited by Johnny to join them on the couch, a real honor for guest spot comedians back then. After that he was everywhere doing his stand up and eventually of course his show. I was a huge fan. I cried buckets when he died.
