  • For those who are not aware, the same guy who directed the epic Baraka several years after this, Ron Fricke, was the person who directed this. Michael Stearns also did the music on that film. Baraka is like this only even MORE breathtaking!

  • @tall32guy I love baraka, the part that really gets me is the street kids.

  • @yukyuk21 My favorite part of the film as well, that whole segment with them and the dancers at the end of it. :)

  • Hey man, you might check the attribution of that quote. I doubt that he said it to Wikipedia. You should give credit to the original interviewer.

  • Fantastic. Baraka is my personal favourite, I've even uploaded it to youtube in 1080p quality and it looks amazing.

    Looking forward to Samsara

  • And don't forget where it started with the "Quatsi" trilogies!

  • Don't forget who made the music!!! Michael Stearns, absolutely fascinating cosmic sounds.

  • This is one of my all time favorite soundtracks and films. Just a beautiful piece of work.

  • Might be nice to give credit to the composer of the music--MICHAEL STEARNS

  • Isn't this the one where Wylie Coyote finally catches that pesky roadrunner? lol xxx!!!

  • 6:39 seems to be one of his favorite subjects to film, or one of them anyway. LOL The scene in Baraka is virtually identical to this. He probably filmed it from the same location! Still very fascinating, and well presented.

I used some footage from Koyaanisqatsi for a Dawkins book video, non-profit and with full attribution to the film and MGM removed it.
