I did something kind of similar! mine had a small duck mouth on the back of its head that was concealed with stone heeps and it had a fake face on the front (mine only had two legs) This creature is really good!!
I REALLY like this one. I've been wanting to make creatures that have distractive features myself. Always thought it was cool to see insects that either blend in with the surroundings or fool predators with markings that make them look bigger.
I can not believe how the head actually collides with the ground.. I know, it should because it would look like shit if it just passed through.. But still.. It looks amazing
Parts pass through the ground all the time. It's a necessary flaw. It's nearly impossible to do all these procedural animations, have the variety of creatures we do/will, and make procedural Collision Maps. The amount of work, technology, and processing power involved in all that would make Spore nearly unplayable (my guess). They could've of handled it a bit better, but not by much and only if they wanted to delay Spore another 6 months to a year. I can handle the collisions more than the wait.
Nice scales. Another under-mouth! I love those things. They are underused. There are to many Bipeds and Over-Mouths so far. Not that those are bad, but we need some different stuff too!
