Lake Erie being the shallowest of the Great Lakes can have the largest wind generated waves around. Had it not been for the description many would think it's the ocean.

hey I want to start up surfing in port stanley , ON... what boards are you guys riding, short or long? and where did you get yours from? and any other tips?
get a long board. 9footer is best. But if you want shorter i say go as short as 7ft. Its alot harder to surf on the lakes, especially when you are first starting and on a shortboard.
hey man like the video. I live in leamington ont.and i'm the only one who surfs in town. good 2 c that theres other people out there surfing.U gotta love the looks when u pull up and pull out a surfboard round here eh?
haha for suuure man i surf over in sarnia, and people are so interested when you walk up to the beach with a board in hand. You oughtta come surf sarnia, there are some pretty gnarly breaks here. lots of rocks and reef! and rebarb and concrete pointbreaks by the Bluwater bridge, more dangerous than alot of ocean spots!
