@Lordoftheflies234 Ya better believe it. It was on the jukebox in our local pub in the mid 70's, I used to play it whenever I went in. No-one else seems to have heard this, or remember it for the masterpiece it is. Judas Priest did a decent cover, but these thought of it & it shows. I'm not sure if the brothers have yet agreed on who wrote it, so we have to thank both I think. I've been in many bands myself & know what it's like, we could be in a pub & write some stuff down on a beermat
@Lordoftheflies234 The beermat could have words only, the rest of the tune could be done in a "live" situation during practice. These things are difficult to either prove or even form an educated guess, maybe it's why Lennon & McCartney gave each other credit for their songs jointly. I don't think Lennon had much to do with say Eleanor Rigby or McCartney with "Revolution".
Paul, I don't fucking believe this-I just was blasting this on the 'puter and a cop came to my door again! I didn't hear her knocking and I was smoking a joint... oh crap. At least it wasn't about the noise this time, but a previous tenant. Sure hope the officer
In 1969 I thought this was the speed & volume at which all rock needed to be played! Faster, louder! You know what? I still do & it's all about that brilliantly infectious guitar riff, still amazing 40 years later. Ten Years After with "Going Home" equally rocked it.
Originally purchased the album because of Roger Deans Artwork...and ended up playing it so much I had to retire it ! Great album , great tune and a great band.
@deadfiero Girlschool didn´t even do the best cover of it! Black Oak Arkansas and Judas Priest have both made cover that are superior! But the original is still best
Cracking track,( Still on my ipod.) and vid....Spoilt at the start by that TWAT Dave Lee Travis, who mistakenly thought himself more important than the acts he introduced.
I have got "treacle and pie, ", it awesome, they are the best band ever to come out of wales, OMG they are just awesome, where can I get the tab for this,
