  • I've heard Six Flags has been going down the crapper for quite a while now. They took over a park here in northwest Washington, and a lot of people have said the park is far worse than it used to be. The lines take longer, the whole park is dirtier, the employees as well as common parkgoers are made up of those teenage douches you talk about and the whole environment is so foul now, people are saying to keep your kids away. Nice, huh?

  • You know, there's a HUGE difference between Season Pass Holder and VIP. Even if you have a season pass, you STILL have to wait for the metal detectors (unless you count the years that Great Adventure has an entrance designated for Season Pass holders).

  • I've never really enjoyed Six Flags. I went there on a class trip and didn't really enjoy it. I waited for two hours to get on Superman only to have it break down. I like the rides but not the people or the lines.

  • and now the lady and security want to kick the girls of too but they refuse. its too late to let us back on as 3 cars are waiting so after a white witness steps up (it was funny because i heard some dude go "is it cause they're black?") and the lady then says with an attitude "oh sorry " and lets us back on. she does however offer the front seat we turned it down we love the back) they shoulda gave us an extra ride for their malarkey

  • i have a story for you.. me and my friends went to get on nitro (we're black) and the cup holders are on the other side of the booth. so now there are 8 of us 4 girls and 4 guys supposedly girls in back guys in front. so we wait in line to even up with each other (letting people pass) so when its our time the other passengers get off and she CLOSES THE GATE we go to put our cups on that side and the lady thinks we hopped on from the back...so we get kicked off the ride and nearly the park...

  • You are a complete idiot. This happens dozens of times a day at each of the gates. People go to guest relations and come back and wait on line to come in. You do not get special access. Its like getting off the coaster line to go to the bathroom. Once your off your sol. "Ive been coming for 20 years and now im done because i had to wait on line! BLEh bleh blah! I hate lines!" Stfu and learn to live a little. its a f'n line. wait for it.

    You know NOTHING about coasters if you think a stand-up steel coaster is better than one of the world's best wooden coasters. I have rode exact clones of Green Lantern in other parks. It is not even in El Toro's league.

    Anyways, I've had my share of SFGA rants. Starting with the fact that more times than not I've gotten lost way out of my way going there because they can't offer decent signs or directions, and keep in mind I live 2 1/2 hours away. So I get there hours late, and by the time the park closes, which is very early at times, I've paid $60 to ride 3-4 attractions. And Kingda Ka has broken down multiple times.

  • sir, before i go into anything big, i have worked in/at the park before;

    six flags is honestly not the best place to work at; the pay is minimum, the foreign exchange students get paid more then the the rest of us, and if they ever tell you about flexible scheduling, thier lying. the park only cares about itself and the money it makes, never the employee, guest or hell, even the supervisors. if one thing goes wrong for you in the park, you are basically screwed.

No lines at all because they said it was gonna rain, and it only drizzled for 10 mins. 60 degrees, front row every ride.. Nothing special though if you've been there a lifetime.. This was my first in like 10 years lol

  • Geez, That's really not a fair way to treat people. They should be ashamed of their service. If there was a problem that was their fault they should absolutely compensate you for it, especially if the only compensation you needed was to walk through a freaking metal detector. I think maybe they could avoid bringing you to the line or have something to the side to work. But in the first place they should have had a separate line for season pass holders because it's just common sense.

    What the hell are you talking about? Why would the other 50-70 people in line with me have to be escorted to the front? None of them had to wait in line once and get rejected at the the front gate. The other people were in the customer service line for other things like picking up group passes or claiming vouchers.

They can not treat you different because your pass had a problem. Nor will they care if you don't buy again.. They have Millions of people visiting there parks each year.. I'm not a big fan of Six Flags.. But consider yourself lucky you had a decent park to go to... Darien Lake sucked when it was in the hands of SF. And the new owners rock!

It's always fast, just the line where you buy tickets is long and slow..

  • @Duplication101 Actually I went to the park recently and the line to scan the ticket was much slower then the line to buy the ticket... Had fun at the park probably not going back again because of the distance but overall I liked that park...

    I guess it's because I always go before 12, but every time I go there are no lines in the scanning line, I look at the place to buy tickets and there are like 100 people waiting in line, I always get to skip all that frustration.. I would highly recommend buying online.

It would have just made way more sense if they let you go ahead. and if anyone complained that it's not fair that you got to go ahead, then the security guards would just have to explain that you had already waited. it's that simple.

  • dude, youre mad. just think of how much stress they have to put through everyday. lost children, family members, emergencies, making your day good as possible, fixing a ride if it broke down, they stand in the heat all the time, they take their time to make youre day fun and enjoyable. i work at a water park and i have dealt with many situations. ive had people yell at me because the weather was too hot. ok, you should have let it go. besides, at night, its empty at six flags, and NO LIMES!

  • You're taking this WAY too seriously and there are still reasons why they didn't do what you wanted them to do. You think that people won't pass up a chance to skip a line for free? If people heard that you were taken to the front of the line, EVERYONE would ask the same thing, and that will end in a line where people WITHOUT problems have to wait longer than the ones WITH. I agree, it sucks, but ONE bad experience when EVERYONE's powerless shouldn't destroy your future experiences at six flags.

  • The thing is that six flags security isn't a private escort service and if you were to ask a security officer to do so they would decline doing that. And the reason they don't just have you go to the front of the line is because this would start arguments and even fights. And with how explosive your attitude gets that's what would happen. I've been going to the part since I was 5 and if you honestly have that much of an issue after all that you have your standards set way above people.

  • GADV is a great park, and you're not giving it a chance. If you were really a coaster enthusiast, you would know that you should show up when the park opens sometime in June, when there's never a line.

  • I totally agree with you! Six flags is the worst when it comes to everything! The customer service, the food, the upkeep of the rides, the sometimes cheap attractions/ rides they come out with such as that horrible Dark knight coaster as new attractions. That's why if they don't make a major turnaround they will never be on the level as major theme park as Universal Studios, Disney World, Busch/ Sea world, and even Cedar Fair. They are horrible!

  • I also want to add that yes, they do treat people differently then everyone else in the park. If people fork out enough money, they can skip everyone else on line or ride the same coaster twice. It almost happened to me before I went on Kingda Ka.

    It's bullshit that they even have that policy. If it were up to me, it wouldn't exist and everyone would have to wait in line equally.

    This, and your problem is probably the reason why Six Flags is going bankrupt.

  • I work two jobs, one of which is in a grocery store. Computers do go down and have problems. Your situation was very unfortunate, and I can understand how you feel, but to never go back to the park because of one unfortunate incident is a little extreme. I've had a few unpleasant experiences with our customers (from being cursed at to being called names), but I'm not going to quit my job because of it.

  • Six Flags is in business to make money and the only way they do that is through the people who frequent the park. Being that it was Memorial Day weekend and the kick-off to the summer season, I'm sure that the lady at tguest services was dealing with many computer-related and ticket issues and was probably overwhelmed; and didn't mean to slight you in any way.

  • This is a good reason for me NOT to buy a Season Pass from Six Flags. Besides, I don't go to the park so much anyways.

    Just buy some tickets, go to the park as early as possible and when you know school is still in session for kids and you'll have the time of your life. That's what I did and it was one of the best moments of my life.

    So like I said, tickets are the better way to go. They don't get errors (I hope).

  • i work at six flags new england. but no offense dude, i can understand where your coming from but just because you have been paying for a long time with passes and what not. they really can't do anything about that. sometimes thing happens. Millions of people go to six flags. Try going to a different park...not all supervisors are the same. i am in the foods department. and i have the best team of managers and supervisors i could have ever hoped for.

  • Employees have to wait the same amount of time the guests have to wait even if the computers won't let us in we have to deal with G.R too. you complaining about it doesn't make any difference. we don't get any special treatment either just because we work there we still have to wait in line just like the guests for however long it takes when we decide to visit the park on our off days. we're expected to do the same as the rest of the guests even if it means standing in line forever like you.

  • I actually work at SFGA and to be honest, this doesn't surprise me. I'm in games, and don't really know the security or admissions people too well, but honestly, SF as an organization is terrible. Almost all the full time supervisors are pretty clueless as to what's really going on in the park. Good luck screwing them over, I've learned to hate them as much as you and am only staying there until the summer ends.

  • I had a printed ticket that had the error message pop up. The only difference is that the lines were significantly shorter than usual and that my friends were waiting for a bit; although, the fact that the paper itself was in good condition pissed me off a little.

  • This typically happens to me since I purchase my season pass at SFGA the year before in october. The first day in the park I already know i have to go to guest relations even though the card worked the year before. Hes right he waited on line already and he had to have waited since he went to guest relations knowing there was a problem with his card. Even in my post office they let you go back to the same person you delt with. The person at the same gate couldve let him in. Bad pr six flags.

  • I used to work for a company that allowed me to get into Six Flags for free with my employee id and I pretty much coined the phrase, "If I didn't get in for free, I would have wanted my money back." because I said it so often while I was there.
