I'm sure Very Merry Christmas Songs was released in 2001 with the 1994 cover artwork, it might have had a different stock number so it is not merely a reprint but also a rerelease, and so is the 2002 VHS and DVD. But I don't have the 2001 VHS.
Guess what? I ordered the Laserdisc of the 2 Christmas sing along videos, including this one. (See wikipedia for the definition of Laserdisc if you don't know). I will post some clips from that when it arrives.
@waverace100 I have seen copies of "Very Merry Christmas Songs" that used too much "film" (magnetic tape) in the cassette. And most of those I've seen were in the 1994 packaging, unless they might have been the 2001 re-prints.
7:30 This was a year before Disney Channel changed to it's current logo. However this version was no longer the primary logo at the time; while it was still used for its Playhouse Disney (recently changed this year to Disney Junior) and Vault Disney (axed about a week before DC's logo change in Sept. '02) blocks, DC, outside of those said two blocks, primarily used a multicolred version of their 1997 logo, reflecting their heavily teen-oriented lineup (then called Zoog Disney) during the day.
Awesome as ever. I LOVE THIS. So the 1986 WDHV logo didn't end in 2000, but in 2001. AND WITH THE WDHE LOGO?!? Unbelievable. Thank you for uploading this. =]
@jonghyunchung I agree. I know closing logos added info concerning the inclusion of the 1986 WDHV logo on this video. But they (Disney) couldn't just edit their own logo they've been using for 15 years out of the video, it would look "messed up."
@systemoperator Tape label has the sing along logo like this
"Disney
SING ALONG
SONGS"
and below it has the program name exactly what it looks like on the cover. The cover looks like the 1994 cover, but there is a different catalog number than past releases.
@systemoperator I don't really think that they put that logo on there on purpose, I think they were trying to put the logo in the video as part of the feature program (much like the Winnie the Pooh tapes) and not as a seperate logo like it used to be.
Can you please upload the closing credits? It's because I heard that with this release differing from the release we all know of, the closing credits might not have that voiceover.
Thats The Twelve Days of Christmas VHS I want to check out

the Walt Disney Home Entertainment Logo (2001-2008)
and. 1986 Walt Disney Home Video Logo
do not go great

@josh32ify
But they couldn't remove the WDHV Logo; or the program would look spoiled at the beginning.

I can presume this VHS came out somewhere around November or December 2001.

November 6, 2001.

@systemoperator
Which was exactly 1 year before Very Merry Christmas Sing Along Songs' DVD release.
jonghyunchung 1 year ago
That day I mentioned is also the same day "Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse" came out.
systemoperator 1 year ago
@jonghyunchung I have that exact same DVD you're talking about!

This is also the only tape to have the 2001 WDHE and the 1986 WDHV logos on the same tape.

What's the cover and tape label look like?

avickers1992 1 year ago
@avickers1992 It's an ink label
avickers1992 1 year ago
I see. Anyway, judging by the fact that the WDHV logo is still intact on here, that means that the 1986 WDHV logo is now 1986-2001.
systemoperator 1 year ago
@systemoperator I don't really think that they put that logo on there on purpose, I think they were trying to put the logo in the video as part of the feature program (much like the Winnie the Pooh tapes) and not as a seperate logo like it used to be.
avickers1992 1 year ago
That would still mean this is the last VHS with that logo.
systemoperator 1 year ago
@systemoperator
Of course, they could not exclude that WDHV logo because it was permanently glued together with the DSAS logo, which was glued with the program!
jonghyunchung 1 year ago
Yes, but that probably means that the WDHV logo is 1986-2001.
