Remember when you could play a 45 record and leave the arm off so it would keep repeating? My father used beg me to turn this song off, with a promise of buying me something new on his next payday!! I still have my 45's from back on the day, at age 58!
The problem is that TODAYS BROTHERS have to look tough and be tough....It makes no sense because it should of been the COMPLETE OPPOSITE.....All the senseless racism was in the 50's 60's and 70's...They would have a reason to look tough, mean and MAD....Today EVERYBODY LOVES Everybody...All you got to do is pull your paints down and puts some gold teeth in and come out with a song about THE GANGSTA life and your rich...Its a BUNCH OF BULLSHIT...Grow up BROTHERS....LOSERS
its difficult to break a sweet..like nat king cole sings unforgettable. anyway browns wimby falsetto somehow suggesting that there was a full uptown orchestra and high motivated singers behind him.but it only was your fans.for better or worse they sing most influential as mr.brown.thanks!
I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Al Goodman, my deep sorrow go out to all of us and his family. I truly enjoyed that wonderful and beautiful sound of "LOVE ON A TWO WAY STREET AND YOU GOTTA BE A SPECIAL LADY." W e will never hear a good voice like Mr. Goodman, and the sound from back in the day.
It is with deep sorrow and sympathy we announce Al Goodman death on July 28th, 2010 at 9:41 AM EST. AAEG will always remember his professionalism and friendship. He will be surely missed,
The original Moments were as follows: Mark Greene, Eric Olfus Sr.,Richard Gross and John Morgan. Eric left the group before "not on the outside" was recorded. Mark Greene out of D.C. was the lead singer on that song. Mark and Richard left the group in 1969 with Billy Brown and Al Goodman taking their place, later John Morgan the last original member was replaced by Harry Ray. Love on a two way street was Billy Brown.
I think this song was good...they are great still doing it after what 40 years...they re-released this song with Billy's vocals...he's always been my favorite...Al was one of the very best but Billy has been the backbone..."I Do," "Such A Lovely Way She Loves," "Sunday," and on and on!
The original lead singer of 'Love on a Two Way Street' is Billy Brown (who singing lead in this video). He also sang lead on such songs as 'I Do', 'Sunday', 'Lovely Way She Loves'. It's Billy Brown's voice sing lead on all of those songs. The late great Harry Ray was not in the group at the time.
@MsClassof1969 What other songs did Mzrk Greene make famous? I just remember Not on the Outside. Thanks for the other info about original members of the momemnts. I didn't know that. I remember when Billy Brown came. He tried to sing Not On the Outside but Mark owns that. Don't get me wrong I love Billy to death and the Moments were my favorite group when I was a teenager. I had one child hood friend who I used to debate with over who was the best..The Moments or the Delfonics! lol

I used to work at The Valley Forge Music Fair and have seen these guys many times, great. Wondering if anyone knows if there's a video or recording of them signing "RIde Like The Wind" by Christopher Cross. They did this song better than anybody....big crowd pleaser.
I saw them on 3/21 in NYC. I took a pic with Billy Brown that I will treasure forever (he has ALWAYS been my favorite). They are gracious gentlemen and give their fans a lot of respect. They are a part of me and I never tire of their music. I have vinyls, cds and videos and now a great picture. All my love guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Sole - the 4th guy's name is Larry Winfrey. He was a background vocalist for them for more than 20 yrs. Check out the interview in their video, it's great.

Why do they ask the audience to sing along? Did the audience go there to listen to the audience sing? Pathetic.
