In my world,all babies are wonderful,preciousand fragile.I would never have had a test done to see if their were any problems ,I think all babies are a blessing.They are also a responsibility, a responsible parent would never have exposed a 4 month old to the noise,dust,lightsand chaos of the convention.The one person there with baby Trig's best interests at heart was his 7 year old sister.Dad was only too happy to shove him into her lap to jump up and wave for the crowd.

Well I would like to apologize to you for my assumption,I also would not have had tests done, but it is pretty standard for women over 35 as they are at such a high risk for d.s Often its not even a test rather certain flags show up on the ultrasound that are indicators of D.S. Been through it so I know only a little about it. But "choosing what one should do with their bodies" happens before conception, after that it becomes a human rights issue, not simply a value.
