idk what youre saying but the reason behind the order is thus: dmc3, he doesnt even have his shop named yet. dmc 1 he first gets sparda and meets trish. in 4 he's far weaker than he is in 2 and it is not explained how he left the demon world and lucia is not in the picture. in 2, he's reached the peak of his power (which is why the game is so easy) and after he defeats argosax he is trapped in the demon world, which the game does let on there's a motorcycle and it could be dante but we dont know

Actually, by definition, AMV stands for Anime Music Video, and that's where the term came from. It is also commonly used to refer to fan videos made using videogame footage instead of anime, by some strange retarded blur. Probably some mislabeling. Anyways, anything else using footage from film or television series and like should be referred to as MMV. (MultiMediaVideo/Media Music Video/???). These two terms both come under "songvids" / "fanvids" but everyone just slaps AMV on it all anyways...
