The reason that article you are pointing to is a big deal is because SOME military personnel have begun donating to Dems, when throughout our military's history, the men and women in uniform have hosted conservative ideals, so of course a blip in the radar is going to cause hubbub for Dems, don't worry the troops don't flip on a dime and flip-flop like most dems.

Like I've been saying all along, I've never been worried about Thompson in the race. No one is going to trust a lobbyist who can't preform outside of a scripted, six-takes-to-get-it-right environment.
Ron Paul has nothing to fear from the likes of Thompson. All Thompson did was fracture the pro-war vote 4 ways - which ultimately ends up helping Ron Paul. And with that in mind, I love the fact Thompson is in the race. =)

The only thing really wrong with this video is that pundits who are positive about Thompson are characterized as engaging in "fantasy." If those same pundits had been negative about Thompson, people would have been outraged that Thompson was being judged before he had a chance to present his approach before the American people. Surely it wasn't fantasy for the American people to want to see what Thompson had to say before deciding about him.

From my rummaging around in the CFR site, it appears to be a place of discussion and a think tank (they publish Foreign Affairs). The CFR is a place where people study international politics. There _is_ an article on there about "economic integration," i.e., a North American union idea, like the EU, but that's the worst I can find. Some interesting stuff about various candidates, including coverage of Ron Paul.

lale: The "real vid" is Thompson's years in the Senate, his legal counsel to the Watergate hearings (repubs), etc. Invalidating this video does not require me to put forward any video showing Thompson in a better light by showing very short positive "bites" as this unfair video did. Even if I did, someone will say there was editing bias involved. I don't support either Thompson or unfair treatment by the media or in carefully edited videos.
