I was there on the saturday and although I agree the vulcan was a spectacle, I would have to disagree that it was the best part of the show. All display acts are truly magnificent but it's the typhoon that makes my spine tingle as well as the warbirds. Saying that though, I do hope the vulcan continues to fly and that others will follow. Lightning would be nice!!!!
It would be fantastic if a Lightning could display again, but the CAA have ruled that because of its complexity, no privateers are alowed to fly one in the UK. Thunder city SA was the only place flying one, but after the recent crash at Overberg, that might end now.
Well done and thanks for posting a brilliant film. The Lancaster and B17 looked superb from there and its nice to see a film without all the other unwanted Airshow background noise- the engines alone are music to the ears. Your shot of the Vulcan is the best i've seen since it's return to flight last year. Brilliant! (XR221)
Thanks, it was a great spot to film the Vulcan from, and like you say sound tracks spoil the aircraft sounds, thats why i just use the raw sounds nothing added.
