This is accul proof that firefighters risk their lives every day, 24/7 volunteer or paid just to keep you, your family, and strangers they don't even know safe from danger.
The cause of the accident can be blamed on an improper installation of the attic window. There was a crew in the attic ventilating and one of the guys struck the mullion to clear the window and the whole casing came out. It hit me right above the elbow on the right arm, the rest you can see for yourself. My brother firefighter felt terrible for what had happened, as any professional would.
@BendervisionTV Glad to see you're okay. Just goes to show in this job there's a lot of things we've never even thought of that can injure you or kill you. You never stop learning.
@tylerandjaron maybe...but I doubt it....actually I'm a Degreed Professional...lol ..I'm sure it's not easy to get through FF training, but neither is a college degree in the sciences...lol ...I'll stick with my original guess
Great job by the firefighter healing the ladder! The firefighter who fell is lucky the other firefighter didnt run or else the ladder could have fallen on him as well!
Good that your ok.
Window air conditioners are another hazard.
Imagine getting popped by one of those??
I suppose we can add FALLING WINDOWS to the LOOOOOONG list of fireground hazards to watch out for
Stay safe.

Luckily he had his helmet on, otherwise it could have been worse (concussion or complete knockout) Glad he's fine, keep up the good work!
