I did some research on this and read somewhere that the heart rate will increase with this type of local anesthetic procedure... is this true, and if so, how long does the heart rate stay increased/rapid?
@itsme123445 In short, no. The local anesthesia reaction that causes increased heart rate in the majority of cases (95%) isn't caused by the anesthesia itself, but the epinephrine in the anesthesia. This is typically a fairly minor increase that isn't considered a rapid heart beat.
Should the patient be standing up rather than sitting for the docs to do markings?
