  • Comment removed

  • everything just stopped around me as i listened...now ive got a new song to learn

  • have tapes of jerry playing acoustic bunch of different places, ritz, calderon ,great american music hall, tons of them just ask around

  • Yeah not studio.

  • Dang, that was goood!

  • chords?

  • "You told me goodbye. How was I to know? You didn't mean goodye. You meant please, don't let me go." Some of the most powerful lyrics written... I always well up with tears at that when I'm really into this song. Love it.

  • Does anyone know who the woman sitting with Jerry is? Just wondering.

  • @marymom1 - pretty sure its Sylvia Tyson of "Ian and Sylvia"

  • who's the Chick?!

  • very nice...thank u

  • Does it get any more beautiful?

  • to the guy asking about more acoustic Jerry: There are lots of bootlegs of Jerry doing solo shows and some with John Kahn or David Grisman ect. Oregon State Prison show (1982 I think) is a good place to start.

  • Beautiful !!

  • do you have any other solo acoustic songs from jerry? or better yet, where did you find them?

  • I like it!! Like it!! Yes i do!

  • The sound is not from the actual video playing...wtf

  • I could be wrong but I believe this is an outtake from Festival Express, not a studio, it's a train!

  • @slipnutt - you are correct. There is no video to go with these old studio demos. So, since youtube is a video medium, I was left with the decision of what video to create for the audio. I preferred this clip to just a series of stills since I felt the video matched the mood of the performance of the song.

I guess either you like it or not.......

  • @slipnutt This vid clip is from the Fest Ex. I believe he's play Cold Jordan on the footage but he's not playing High Time on this train ride. Might As Well lyrics are from his experience from this train ride in CA. " One long party from front to end.. Choo Choo goes the whistle around the bend "

  • @slipnutt I was loosin time

  • what an amazing song! GREAT acoustic version!!

  • Very nice Willy !

  • That was ....so beautiful and raw.

  • @dancinglight2013 - thanks. When I first heard this, I kinda felt it captured the essence of Jerry in a way we generally don't get to see him.
