Nope there's never been a port of the Arcade version to PC (there's a PC version of the Saturn release but that is terrible compared to this) There's a recent Arcade port for consoles but this PC emulator is more accurate as it's emulating the original.

i have all the files from the emulator to the model2.zip file, AND IT DOESEN'T WORK WITH SONIC THE FIGHTERS OR NOTHING! (using 1.0)

42's require faster 2-4 combo thru first gear change which u can do earlier thru S bend, 2nd set is fine, 3rd requires a 1-4 change, and ur last 2-4 can be done alot ealier for higher top speed.

No, it's made for Windows XP/Vista/Win 7 and needs fairly decent hardware to run properly.

Aha. Right. I've found the correct rom file to go with the emulator. The rom files on the usual rom sites are all missing files. I found the correct rom on the pirate bay. Daytona.zip. You'll need a torrent client to download it but I suspect most people reading this will already have one of those...

twistLosi yor reply to the guys question doesnt make sense,you say missing the model2zip,shur thats what you extract to run the model 2 emulator which he is already running to load the roms which wont work,so how can he be missing te model 2 zip as you say,also it doesnt needroms to run the emulator,roms are the games,very confusing reply you gave

There's a model2.zip that contains 9 rom files, it's got nothing to do with the Emulator EXE. And BTW the Emulator does not come packaged as "Model2.zip" Elsemi releases the Model 2 Emulator as "m2emulator.zip"

Like I said in my old comment, there's a "model2.zip" which contains needed rom files.

Buy the emulator on eBay? it's free. And there's no official version of Daytona USA released by Sega in it's original Arcade form.

Championship edition, It fixed most of the problems and added new cars and tracks.

Yeah but thats still not like the Arcade original. The best version of Daytona released for Console or PC is the Dreamcast version, but the physics are not the same as the original (it's fairly close depending on what car and tires are used) though the graphics are better (shaders, effects, textures and a lot further view distance etc)

Just download nebula emulator 0.9 and search on torrent for model2 roms, there's a full set around, be warned you need a powerful pc and a good video card. Have fun !

About loadin is very easy, just put the roms as in the instructions and load from Nebula menu.

Which joystick did you use for this? I was trying to get it working with the 360 controller, but I cant figure out how to configure the steering properly, it's jittery.

I used a Microsoft Sidewinder joystick, not sure about a 360 controller on PC as never tried one

Not sure what the problem is with such little detail, but I'd go to the Nebula forums which is linked from ElSemi's site in my info. You can post all the information and I'm sure someone will figure it out. My first thoughts are you either have a bad or missing rom and or your graphics card does not support Pixel Shader 2.0

Hey thanks Peabo, I was actually just trying 1-4 on 2nd last corner, I was using 2-4 in this video which wasn't turning the car in enough. I'll try 2-434 like you said on the uphill turn, the only thing I cant do is use the brakes for the start as I'm using a joystick and M2 Emu doesn't have a option to use the throttle slider axis which I could use for the brake at start.

yes, 1-4 is right for the 2nd to last, though it must be very hard to do any of this with a controller! Especially the final corner where you need to do the jerk method, but you're getting quite good speed around there anyway :)

Nice run! You should try 2-434 around the second corner, it will get you around it much faster :)
