i have ebony pinstripes and i prefer my old black suede emporers...the pinstripe is like, too dull @ a low pitch and when you hit it it seems too loose, its like striking a bass drum resonant head with drumsticks :S , tune it higher for resonance it will be WAY too high pitched,

@fagball1 he's good but not as good as cobus. The reason being, is that cobus know that even the most simplest of beat can be the best beat for a song. This guys playing is too busy, he always tries to add extra fills when its not needed. also, when cobus plays, he has more feeling and looks like he actually enjoys what he does.

The HD25s are fantastic I love them to pieces. They cut the sound out really well and sound great - make sure you allow them a week or so to "run in" when you get them though as they seem a bit harsh sounding at first but they soon warm up :)

Oh and the heads are Remo Ambassadors I think

one question, for your rack tom, did your set come like that or did you have to buy a separate holder so you could put it to the left of your bass drum. cuz i want to have my set like that but the toms are mounted on the bass.

My set is a fusion kit, so the floor tom came with a fitting so it attaches to a stand like the top tom. I actually have 4 toms, and the 2nd and 3rd are meant to be attached to the kick and the top is attached to the stand, but I just use the two attachments and forget the other two toms.

BUTTTT you can easily get the attachments online or at a drum store!

alright thanks. what i did recently was i ditched the high tom and put the mid tom in its place (i prefer th mid over high) so its more in front of me even though its still mounted on the bass. but eventually it would be sweet to get 2 separate attachments and put the high and mid tom in fron of the snare or even a rack system.
