Yo, budlums, with all due respect, I think your performance will benefit from running the basic snare fundamentals, and work on playing the same across the snare and toms. That is where you seem to get hung up every time. Think of "floating" --you hands/arms float across the heads and the sticks pick up the exact sticking across each head.
