Well if you like Golf Games it couldn't get better these days. It's the Game with the best Motion+ Support. The controls are absolutely great. I never thought i would like a Game like this but it's so much fun....But of course there are other Wii titles that are great too...
I don't know about the PS3 games, but 10 is considerably better than 09 on the wii. I know this guy in college who has Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 for his PS3, but I've never played. He hasn't sold it yet, so I assume he likes it. You should probably go for the newer 10 game.

But there are 4 huge setbacks at least for me. 1- Terrible spinning, almost not at all on advanced. 2 - When playing playoff hole - you must see how the other player does or at least how he does it. 3 - It is almost impossible to win a playoff hole. You know how this game asks you to pick how many rounds you want to play for your seasonal masters and tournaments? I was just wondering how long one round of 18 holes takes to complete because it says you can't change after you select your number of rounds until the following season. im looking particularly for a number of rounds that will only take 30-45 minutes to complete, i dont want to spend 2 hours at a stretch since its too long.
i haven't even played the game but it kinda seems obvious motion plus is better and precision putting obviously gives you more control when putting but is probably harder than classic.

The Wii costs more than the PS3. Current price of PS3 - around 350. Current price of the Wii reaches nearly 600 euro giving all the add-ons and the nescessary items that should have come with the console in the first place.

Resort will have FAR less golf content, and you're not going to be playing it online either. If you're looking for the currently ultimate golf experience, this is a must. If you just want golf as PART of a whole experience, then skip it. Me, I've got TW10 and I'm still looking forward to WSR golf to see how they've handled it.
I got this for Father's day! It's FREAKIN SICK! Most realistic sim golf game I've ever played. They did their homework with the 10 edition. The new motion sensor that hooks to the bottom of the controller is unreal and SENSITIVE. My crappy right slice in real golf is just as noticable on the video game now :) The "real weather" conditions is amazing. If it's raining and windy on the real course for that day, well you're gonna be playing in the rain and wind. AMAZING GAME AND I LOVE IT!

some games don't have to have impressive graphics to be fun. Examples: star wars the force unleashed, mario kart wii, call of duty world at war all on wii, not the best graphical powerhouses, but fun which should basically just matter. I have a wii and I love it!

It's not 360 (and unlike some I don't expect it to be EVER, that's not why I bought the system) but this is easily the best looking Tiger for Wii so far. Very sharp looking, and with Motion Plus I can retire 09 and everything before it permanently.
It doesn't surprise me at all that the game is coming out this way, unlike Madden it actually looks like they have a working plan with this series on here. No doubt, this is a full fledged effort and I applaud them for it. Wii want more of that.

thats a real exaggeration, they are just a bit under the standards the competition has made. wii graphics are good for the better games.
but for the crap shovelware that comes out alot, like carnival games, they are bad

some games don't have to have impressive graphics to be fun. Examples: star wars the force unleashed, mario kart wii, call of duty world at war all on wii, not the best graphical powerhouses, but fun which should basically just matter. I have a wii and I love it!

Meh wii's alright I just like my xbox 360 better. I didn't start playing my wii until I got the red ring of death cuz in my opinion wii's not all that I just play it when I have nothing better to do.

yeah, I like the online on the 360, but I prefer a wii. I don't own a 360, (my brother did) and I really didn't like it. Well, thanks for sharing your opinion with me, and not blowing up at me saying the wii sucks! the graphics are horrible! The wii is great people just need to give it a chance ya know?

this game is as good as this video suggests.
only thing all my natural shots tend to result in a slight fade. i have to compensate by twisting the wiimote a little. i think it may be my sensor bar postion. but yeah, tiger woods 09 can burn in hell, this game is a major improvement.

The sensor bar is not used for the club swing, only when pointing at on screen menus.
BTW, don't look at the screen when swinging, look at the "ball". I put a dot on the floor to indicate the tee/ball. Helps big time!!

Ok, the sound on my computer is shot, so I can't hear what he's saying. Are the controls great without the Wii MotionPlus thing, or do you need that for the "authentic" experience. I want to get this and my dad keeps complaining that the controls are nowhere near as good as real golf. Haha.

You cannot get the same control level without WM+
The game comes bundled with WM+ for $60 or $50 without it
But WM+ is a good investment as 2 tennis games also use it along with a few other announced games
I believe Virtua tennis will also come bundled with WM+ in america, Grand Slam tennis will be bundled with it in EU, and Red Steel 2 will be bundled and require it
Wii Sports Resort is as good as Wii sports but bundled with WM+ is that much better control wise
More games will use it too

Wii Sports Resort is $50 with WM+ and one of the newly released Tennis games, i believe Virtua Tennis comes bundled with it. I think $50, not sure about price though.
Red Steel 2 will also come bundled with and require WM+

I just played the game, and the controls are FANTASTIC. In all honesty, this is the best sports game I have ever played. Not just golf game ever, but sports game ever. The controls are THAT good.

It's not 360 (and unlike some I don't expect it to be EVER, that's not why I bought the system) but this is easily the best looking Tiger for Wii so far. Very sharp looking, and with Motion Plus I can retire 09 and everything before it permanently.
It doesn't surprise me at all that the game is coming out this way, unlike Madden it actually looks like they have a working plan with this series on here. No doubt, this is a full fledged effort and I applaud them for it. Wii want more of that.
