  • raw EPMD track from the best EPMD album. they should drop an instrumental version of this song because the beat is dope

  • Yeah, this is one of my all-time favorite EPMD tracks. That beat is grimey as hell.

  • fire!!!

  • this ish is COLD!!!

  • this beat is too advanced for 92

  • Hell no.

This beat was perfect for the year in which hip hop went beneath the gutter---lead by the Hit Squad.

  • Certified underground hip hop at its finest right here. Best track on this CD.

  • Best song they ever made!!

  • Damn! I forgot how ill this album was!

  • "The E Double is definetely no joke,

U cant see me even with the microscope"

    hahaha,that was straight crack!

  • This shit is GANGSTA.

  • dope!

  • this is their best track...'nuff said

  • I SO agree with You

  • Ruff enuff 4 Long Island!!!!

  • The best era of hip hop. Today's hip hop is nothing but s***

  • Dope, straight dope

  • Is this album available to buy for less than like $33 bucks? I don't get why they discontinued this particular one...

  • no but your mom is

  • yeah man.. you cant find this ish for less that like 30 dollars

  • sampling Steve Miller's "Fly Like an Eagle,?"

    in '88?

    c'mon...no one can touch it.

  • @slikkwon

If that's true, then EPMD got a lot more people to hear the sound that was sampled than would've been possible if it was just Steve's track.

  • wow..the memories...The summer of 1992 was a good era

  • My fault.

  • kev you lost your mind.EPMD has one of the longest list of quotables.lol you duck ass chump.

  • I know they have some of the dopest quotables.I was just expressing my dissapointment in the current album.I want to hear the classic sound I expect from EPMD. Oh,if anybody thinks I`m dissing EPMD you`re definitely wrong. When you try to get on me about that I will defend because they are the best to ever do it. As a devoted fan I feel I can feel slighted if I didn`t feel their current album didn`t live up to my expectations. That`s because they are so dope that they raise my expectations.

  • latest album could have been betta but remember alot of throw back artist aint doin it,....the took a chance and still cats brought it..shit i did

  • Same as Tonyblaylock78- bust my tape around 96 with the constant rewinding of this supreme song- This is Strictly the Business!

  • EPMD was all about beats. They weren`t necessarily the dopest rappers lyrically but when they lay down a funky track such as this to me you couldn`t tell me they didn`t sound as dope as Rakim. I repeat EPMD was all about beats and that`s what they should continue focusing on. I like the new album "We Mean Business" but I know I`m biased because I`m a huge fan. It`s not what I look for when I want to hear EPMD. This is what I look for. Get The Bozack,Strictly Snapping Necks,You Gots To Chill etc.

  • So you saing they where wack lyricist>!

  • Hell no! With classic lyrics like "I`m not Bounce so sucker M.C.`s cling" or "Slice you like lettuce, toss you like a salad, revoke your M.C. license if your rhymes are invalid."Quotes from "You`re A Customer". They are classic lyricists but without their signature style of funk it`s not the EPMD I expect to hear. I meant they aren`t mentioned in the same respect as Kane or Rakim lyrically. They are more known for their self produced beats. That makes EPMD. E-Double is a top-ten producer (IMO).

  • They also sampled "Dance Floor" by Zapp,"Funky Enough" by the D.O.C. in the hook

  • word, this is tha sickest track i've ever heard. it's a shame u can't get this cd no where. omg. someone please find the instrumental 2 this.

  • I was at a parking lot and this guy was playing street thunder by foreigner, I made him play it back about 4 times until I realized were I heard it b4-EPMD slowed it down & sampled it 4 this track...long live hio hop!

  • Thanks for pointing that sample out for me. I`ve been trying to find that sample for more than 15 years.

  • "EPMD the rap American Dream Team"!

  • better than mine..for sure ..too illlll

  • This song is the reason my tape popped, constantly rewinding my shit back to this sick-ass track! I fuckin' miss the 90's!

  • i have always like this joint

  • Best song on this classic album.

  • Ya slippin if you dont have this album in the collection

  • The beat was ahead of it's time. Someone get the instrumental.

  • As a huge fan myself , I found out that the instrumental is derived from Foreigner 's song (Street Thunder ) with a sluggish tempo or BPM , i would love to find the instrumental too.

  • This is my joint, this beat is untouchable! Straight Gangsterism

  • this song is still dope

  • timeless song

  • this is my fav song from the business never personal album. that beat is crazy!

  • Damn, I remember this from like '91. This makes me wanna pull out my ol' black hoodie and do a mean mug face! This joint is straight fire!

    "Rough enuff for Long Island!"

  • ill as fcuk!!!

  • Peep game.

Without EPMD & The Hitsquad you have no WU-Tang Clan or Company Flow.

The summer of '92 defined hardcore New York for the rest of the decade.

  • it still is the shit!!!

  • THIS WAS THE SHIT BACK IN THE DAY!!!!

  • STILL is the shit bruh!!

  • Y`all don`t know pure dopeness if you haven`t commented on this joint. Come on now this is EPMD at their finest. This is the funk they are known for.

  • i agree wholeheartedly
