ESTA MANERA DE APRECIAR EL FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL STEADICAM ES MUY ENGAÑOSA, YA QUE SI TE COLOCAS FRENTE A UN ESPEJO CON UNA CÁMARA , AUNQUE NO TENGAS UN STEADICAM, VERÁS COMO SE REDUCEN LOS MOVIMIENTOS. ESTO SE DEBE A QUE LA CÁMARA SE ESTA VIENDO A SI MISMA Y SIGUE SU PROPIO MOVIMIENTO.
Hey simon, thnx for the response! I'm a student film-maker and since Im not working I cant afford a stablization unit for 2500Dhs! Since you've not used your merlin in over a year and its probably just lying there... erm If you wanna make a quick buck. Id buy it for 500Dhs if you're ok with it. I know its a bit of a stretch... But I thought Id ask anyway coz Ive been wanting this for years!!!
@imster I don't think they're avaiable anymore. I paid 3000dhs for it. If you want it (it's hardly ever been used after this first try), you can have it for 2,500dhs. Let me know.
please which is the correct configuration of the steadicam merlin, a few hours ago I arrived in my country Peru this accessory, it happens that I have the hdr SR12. thanks, I want to learn to balance
U can't see exactly how it really works in fron of a glas,u have to try outside, walking and running, there u wanna see an difference bettwen with or without it.
I know, i hate that, I also bought some of the Lenses for the camera too, so that makes it more awkward. I'm hoping ill be able to get rid of the horrible rocking i get haha. Thanks for the help =]
I've got one finish weight on the front and one start * one finish weight on the bottom. I worked out the width of the arc and the plate setting by trial and error. The problem is every time you lay it down, it needs fin-tuning again. Then again, the results are fantastic. I've just got to practice now. Turning corners is bloody impossible!
I noticed the same thing with my sr-12 in low light it seems as if the focus is confused by distant bright lights (over 100ft away). As soon as the light is out of the shot is usually focuses ok
@akitadunk just look up "Jeopardy song"

@ubasjaim2066 LA MEJOR MANERA DE VER EL RESULTADO ES CUANDO YA HAS GRABADO EL VIDEO Y LO REVISAS DIRECTAMENTE EN EL MONITOR !!!!

It's a Sony HDR-SR11. Really nice camera, massive built in hard drive but a bit of a let down focussing in low-light conditions.
