I honest to GOD cannot believe, that they are not using local anaesthetic to perform a spinal tab......which is just SOOOOOOOOO painful without it, local anaesthetic is NOT an expensive resource, so there is NO justifyable reason for not applying this to a patient.
blabla...go work there for a while you will change your mind I talk from experience... you need to get experience before you would even be considered for a hospital like this
There is a shortage of doctors in South Africa because many doctors emigrate to other Commonwealth countries where the pay is higher and work load is less overwhelming.
As these doctors emigrate, not enough new doctors are graduating from South African universities to take their place.
Hospitals are overwhelmed. I wonder if a greater role for the private sector in health care delivery would improve the situation?
Actually it's a very nice video, depicting the life of a young overworked and overwhelmed physician in one of the biggest and busiest hospital in the world.
South Africa is failing in controlling its HIV epidemic miserably and its a huge burden on health care there.

Well, I got about two minutes into the video and noticed it was close to twelves minutes in length, which was more time than I wanted to devote to only one video so I stopped watching the video.
What would you be more interested in, exactly? There are plenty of videos of T&A, explosions, etc out there. Why not go watch some rather than posting useless comments?
An excellent suggestion. I do realize that posting about the pointlessness of somebody's post on YouTube is extremely anachronistic, but sometimes I just can't help myself. I too am extremely upset about the Palestinian oppression. But to put things in proportion, millions of Africans die senselessly while we sleepwalk, and a relatively tiny 1,100 have died in the Palestinian invasion. All human life is valuable, not simply those we can empathize with as strongly as the Palestinians.
"Anachronistic"? An error in chronology? I don't understand what you mean as I get the impression you don't understand the meaning of that word, but the African people aren't under the direct fire of the Israelis. Still, I was paying a great deal of attention to the cholera outbreak in Zimbabwe and the disastrous Mugabe regime until YouTube suspended my reporter's account for telling the truth about Israel, so I have a bit of an axe to grind with regard to that rogue nation and it's policies.
"Anachronism" in the sense that my argument is a non-linear /faux pas/ in itself, since I'm effectively doing the same thing as you. Since this is still as pointless as it was when I first started, I'll leave it at that.

Agreed, but also to everyone working there. From the docs, and nurses, to the custodians. Everyone must be busy.

I am more interested in the Zionist slaughter of Gentiles in the Gaza strip.
If you don't mind a suggestion of my own, why don't you go pester someone else with pointless questions and insults?
